I Samuel 20: Lesson 13 |
David and
Jonathan |
Is it any wonder they become
good friends (one in spirit)? |
David defeated bears and lions
without impressive weapons... through the power of his faith.
God gave him victory over Goliath with
a sling. |
Jonathan attacked Philistine
outposts twice with only one spear and one sword...because he
believed in the power of God to provide the victory. |
They were both
leaders, willing to do things on their own. |
David lived in the house of King Saul. |
As a sign of their friendship,
Jonathan gave David his royal robe, tunic, sword, bow and belt. |
David was so successful that he was
given a high rank in the army. |
The people honored David. |
But, there is trouble! |
