Saul had expelled all the mediums and

told his attendants:
"Find me a medium that I can
consult!"
(A medium is a person who claims to be
able to raise, and talk to, the spirit of a dead person.)
There is a medium
in Endor.
Saul disguises himself, took two of his men,
and went to see her at night.
Why would Saul consult with a medium. He had just expelled all
the mediums and spiritists from Israel.
Saul had seen the great victories against the Philistines in his
early years as king.
How many times had he taken an oath not to kill David, so his word
was worthless?
He had prophesies with the prophets.
He knew God was with David, but not with him.
Had Saul literally lost his mind?
