I Samuel 30 |
Ziklag was
burned... |
and the women and children were taken! |
David and his men are grieved...to the
point of madness! |
David gets
strength in the Lord. |
David told Abiathar, the son of Ahimelech to
bring the ephod...
and he inquired of the Lord. |
"Shall I pursue this raiding
party? Will I overtake them?' 'Pursue them," he answered.
'You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.'"
200 of David's men were too exhausted to
continue. So 400 men continued. |
David's men helped an Egyptian who led them
to the raiding party. |
David and his men found and fought the
Amalekites from dusk to the end of the next day.
None of them got away! |
David recovered
everything, including his 2 wives. |
The victorious army went back to the
200. |
