Should we not eat pork because God told
the Israelites not to?
No. The Law of Moses has
been fulfilled so it is no longer in effect. The laws concerning
eating were cancelled.
"He became

while the meal

as reptiles and

voice told him,
'Get up, Peter.

'Surely not,

replied. 'I have

The voice spoke
to him a second

'Do not call
anything impure
that God has
made clean.'"

How do I get the Holy Ghost.
There is a lot of misunderstanding about the indwelling of the
Holy Spirit.
According to Acts 2: 37,38, one is given the Holy Spirit
at the point of baptism. This is the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit that helps us live holy lives. Everyone who believes and
is baptized is given this gift.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit are a different issue. In
New Testament times there was no Bible, so the Spirit gave
certain people special temporary powers like speaking in
tongues, prophesying, interpretation of prophecy, etc. to spread
and verify the truth. These gifts are listed in I Corinthians
12:7-11, and not available today.

Kenneth
I do not
have a question but something for you to consider.
It's about the "rapture"
It conflicts with the timing indicators in the book of
Revelation. Rev. 1:1 "must shortly come to pass." 1:3, "the time
is at hand." 2:10, "ye shall have tribulation 10 days." 2:25,
"hold fast till I come" (is there even still a church in
Thyatira today that could "hold fast"?). 3:11 "I come quickly,
hold fast". 6:10 "how long...yet a little while". 12:12 "a short
time." 16:15 "Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that
watcheth, and keepeth his garments..." 17:10 "and they are seven
kings, the five are fallen, the one is, the other is not yet
come; and when he cometh, he must continue a little while." (The
events being described were in the midst of being fulfilled even
as it was written). 22:6 "shortly come to pass" 22:7 "And
behold, I come quickly" 22:10 "the time is at hand" 22:12
"Behold I come quickly". 22:20 "I come quickly." Certainly terms
like "shortly" or "quickly" are relative time indicators. But
one must find their meaning by considering the time context in !
which they are used. The addressees would surely think of a
time period of 1900 years before their fulfillment as being a
LONG time, rather than a short time. Which brings me to my
second point...somewhat similar to the first
This is an excellent,
common sense observation! John was an old man when he wrote
Revelation, in about AD 96. The simple answer to the quickly
issue starts in Revelation 1:3,5,6.
v. 1..."Because the time is near."
v. 5,6..."To him who loves us and has
freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to
be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father-to
him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen."
The believers referred to in Revelation were already
priests who served in the kingdom. So there was no need for
another kingdom. There is only one kingdom, the church
established on Pentecost. The tribulation is the persecution of
the church before the destruction of Rome. The prophecies
in Revelation refer to the historical event of the destruction
of Rome in AD 100. Three years would qualify as quickly. The
seven kings reference is to the breakup of the Roman empire.
This solves all the problems of Revelation which was in
figurative language for those from a Jewish background to
provide comfort in trouble and encouragement in victory. We
cannot easily understand the figurative language.
There is no secret Rapture. "For
the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud
command, with the voice of the archangel and with the
trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught
up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
And so we will be with the Lord forever. After that, we who are
still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in
the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with
the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these
words."
I did not get your second question.

So according to the bible, a women who
divorces due to her husband committing adultery is fine, but she
is to never remarry and live alone for the rest of her life?
You decide:
Jesus gives us an exception in divorce.
"But
I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for
sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and
anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Paul writes of
Christians who are divorced.
"To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord):
If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is
willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. And if a
woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to
live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving
husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the
unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing
husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is,
they are holy.
But if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or
the sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has
called us to live in peace."

The man behind the curtain
Why does Religion still exist today
when it's clearly a lie used to manipulate and control people,
even when the evidence against it are GREAT in comparison to the
faith of a church. You priests molest children, your Templars
slayed non-believers, your 'God' punished all generations of
humans for the mistakes of two unsuspecting humans. Your God,
the ultimate designer, couldn't make two humans and a garden
perfect. As for Satan, he's about the only guy who sees sense in
this whole charade.
It is good that you are part of the
childrensbiblestudy.com family.
You say that religion is clearly a lie used to manipulate and
control People. When we consider the dictionary meaning of
religion, The pursuit of values of an ideal life, the
values is neither a lie or the truth. Religion is neutral.
The God-given nature of man is to worship something more than
man. What we find is what can be manipulative and controlling.
So, from what you write, I am assuming you are comparing
Catholicism with the church found in the New Testament Bible.
In he New Testament church all Christians are priests...there is
no special order called priests. And molesting anyone is
condemned. If there is no repentance for this despicable sin,
the person involved is cut off from the church. Any group that
allows/defends or covers up this despicable action to save face
is not the church of the New Testament.
And, there are no Templars (knights), who are part of a standing
army who kill non-believer. In fact Christians are told to bless
not curse their enemies and give them food and water when
needed.
Because God is love, he wants his creation to love him because
of who he is...not out of obligation. He is not
interested in human robots!
You make a great mistake by assuming God punished all for the
mistakes of unsuspecting humans. Adam and Eve were given a
specific instruction and knew exactly what they were doing.
Through one man sin came into the world. We can be forgiven
through the sacrifice of one man Jesus.
The Garden was perfect, but Adam and Eve were banished.
Your statement that Satan makes sense, does not make sense. The
world's characterization is true...Satan is evil, manipulative,
the father of all liars and out to deceive as many as possible.
It is easy to have Satan as your God because there are no
demands! If you do not serve God, you automatically serve Satan.
The consequences are grave!
I have not included in references, but you are welcome to write
again and ask very specific questions. I will tell you where to
find the answers.

Children take a baptism?
Baptism is for those who believe Jesus was the Son of God.
Children must be able to understand. In Romans 7:9, Paul tells

sinned. Children are innocent until law makes them aware of sin.
At some point they are to believe in Jesus and obey him in

may live a new life."

What are the characteristics of earth in the past?
They were very much like today, except there was only one land
mass.
"In
the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the
earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of
the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light. God
saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the
darkness. God called the light 'day,' and the darkness he called
'night.' And there was evening, and there was morning—the first
day.
And God said, 'Let there be a vault between the waters to
separate water from water.' So God made the vault and separated
the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was
so. God called the vault 'sky.' And there was evening, and there
was morning—the second day.
And God said, 'Let the water under the sky be gathered to one
place, and let dry ground appear.' And it was so. God called the
dry ground 'land,' and the gathered waters he called 'seas.' And
God saw that it was good.
Then God said, 'Let the land produce vegetation:
seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with
seed in it, according to their various kinds.' And it was so.
The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to
their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to
their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was
evening, and there was morning—the third day.
And God said, 'Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to
separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to
mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in
the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.' And it was so.
God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day
and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the
stars.
God set them in the vault of the sky to give light
on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate
light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was
evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
And God said, 'Let the water teem with living creatures, and let
birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.' So God
created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing
with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according
to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And
God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, 'Be
fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas,
and let the birds increase on the earth.' And there was evening,
and there was morning—the fifth day.
And God said, 'Let the land produce living creatures
according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move
along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its
kind.” And it was so.' God made the wild animals according to
their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the
creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds.
And God saw that it was good.
Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our
likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the
birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,
and over all the creatures that move along the ground.' So God
created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created
them; male and female he created them.
God
blessed them and said to them, 'Be fruitful and increase in
number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the
sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that
moves on the ground.'
Then God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the
face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed
in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the
earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that
move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in
it—I give every green plant for food.' And it was so.
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And
there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day."

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child,
and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name
Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." Why is the
name Emmanuel use in this verse or why is he call Emmanuel?
Because Jesus was equal to God, which made him God.
"In your relationships with one another,
have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature
God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to
his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a
servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by
becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!"

Aside from John 3:16 & John 15:13, are
there other verses where God (literally) said He loves us?
specifically the Father, & God the Holy Spirit.
Dear friends, let us love one
another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been
born "of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know
God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among
us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might
live through him."
(I John 4:7-10)
"But God demonstrates his own love for us
in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
(Romans 5:8)

you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the
love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by

Now look
I have a question for you do you use the king james version
bible. I saw you saying you did but then changed to the
International bible because it made more sense? But I would
really prefer you using the King James version because I want
to read from the real thing Because when I was doing a bible
study on Ruth my (King James version) said a different things. I
also saw you saying you were a New testament Christian? What
does that mean because I don't want to be getting wrong answers
from you.
The real thing was
written in the New Testament in the Greek language. The King
James Version was translated from the original Greek into what
is called Old English...using vocabulary that was used in
England. The New International version was translated from the
original Greek language into modern English, which makes it
easier to understand because of vocabulary. The content is the
same. It is important to understand that both versions were
translated from the original Greek language.
Some follow a mixture of Old Testament, New Testament and
tradition. A New Testament Christian follows only what is taught
in the New Testament.
"By calling this covenant “new,” he
(Jesus) has made the first one obsolete;
and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear."
(Hebrews 8:13)
The Old Testament is very important as examples of faith
and learning the nature of God, but we do not follow the Old
Testament (Mosaic) Law any more. It has been fulfilled through
the sacrifice of Jesus.
"These
things happened to them as examples and were written down as
warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come.
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you
don’t fall!"
(I Corinthians 10:11,12)
Read these verses in the King James Version and see the
difference. The words thinketh and standeth are not used
today...but the meaning is the same.
"Now all these things happened unto them
for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom
the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh
he standeth take heed lest he fall."
It is very good that you do not want to get wrong answers from
me! Never accept what I say without checking it out.
"Now the
Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in
Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness
and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul
said was true."
(Acts 17:11)
If I tell you something wrong, I am in the company of the
following:
"But even if we or an angel from heaven
should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you,
let them be under God’s curse!"

What is a weight and is it a sin
1. A standard of measurement .
2. It can be something that weighs a person down.
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by
such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything
that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us
run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our
eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy
set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat
down at the right hand of the throne of God."

the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord,

Every Bible character is important because he/she is part of

Is Divorce A Sin If You Get Married And
Realize You Don't Like The Person You Married?
There are only two reasons for divorce. One is for marital
unfaithfulness. (Matthew 5:31,32)
The second is if the spouse is an unbeliever and gives you a
divorce. (Read I Corinthians 7:16)
God wants folk who are married to stay together. It may be a
matter of learning to like a spouse.
Why was Jesus ignored? Why wouldn't
people just listen to the things he said?
What Jesus taught was radical. The religious leaders
knew Jesus was making their life leadership unnecessary. They
saw him as a threat to their way of life. Others just did not
want to listen. And as fulfillment of prophecy so Jesus would
die.

Doing confirmation with my class am
looking for a good story that will help them understand the holy
spirit.
The Holy Spirit is one of 3 Spirits that make up God.
(God the Father, God the Son and God the
Holy Spirit). He is referred to as the counselor or comforter.
"But the Counselor, the Holy
Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will
teach you all things and will remind you of
everything I have said to you." (John 14:26)
The best way I know how to explain three Spirits in one is
water. Water is found in 3 forms...solid, liquid and gas. All
three forms have different functions.
LilMan
In Hebrews ch 8, its talking about the
priesthood and it talks about the new covenant. In v. 7 what is
the first covenant it mentions. I believe it has something to
do with Moses, but i don't know if it is the ten commandments or
the covenant about them going to a land flowing with milk and
hoeny. Or an another one. (Just to make sure the second
covenant is the one involving Jesus being crucified for our sins
'John 3:16' or am i wrong). Thank you
The Old Covenant is the Mosaic Law, which includes the 10
commandments. The Mosaic Law was given to the Israelites
only (Heb. 8:8-12)...and was replaced by the New Covenant (v.13)
The significance of blood is found in 9:11-15.
"When
Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already
here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle
that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this
creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and
calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by
his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. The blood
of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those
who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are
outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to
God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so
that we may serve the living God!
For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant,
that those who are called may receive the promised eternal
inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free
from the sins committed under the first covenant."

How long did it take Noah to build the
ark?
When God called Noah it mentions his three sons Shem, Ham and
Japheth. (Genesis 6) Shem was likely the oldest. In reading the
context, we know Noah and Mrs. Noah did not have Shem for 500
years. Genesis 11:10 tells us Shem was 100 years old 2 years
after the flood, so he was 97 or 98 when the flood came.
If we give just a reasonable number of years between the three
sons, it took around 75 years to build the ark.

How to explain the children of Israel
bring gifts of free will and how to demonstrate it.
God to
biblegateway.com and put in the
word freewill.
The Israelites were commanded to give a minimum of 10% of their income.
On top of this they were provided ways to show appreciation by
giving freewill offerings. One example is Exodus:36:3 where they
could give to the building of the Sanctuary (tabernacle).
Have your students decide on a project and give either time of
money to do the project. The emphasis should be their freewill
offering should be what they earn or give personally...not what
they can ask others to give.

I am looking for an outline that would
help me teach my children about the Bible. They are 7 and 10. I
need a sort of age appropriate timeline as to what they should
know by a certain time and I also need the materials to teach
them.
Go to our
Bible Book Studies page.
All these studies are broken down into paragraphs with games,
puzzles and other resources.
Depending on what they know, I would recommend starting at the
beginning with the book of Genesis, which includes many familiar
stories like Noah, Abraham, etc. This will give them an overall
understanding of the history of the Bible.

I know that when you are Christian you
have to be ....... well good really. But how are you meant to be
good when other people are rude or insult or annoy you and you
loss your temper and they say you meant to be a Christian girl
so how can you keep your temper.
Christianity is based on all our sins being forgiven when
we believe in the ability of Christ to save us through our trust
and obedience to Him. We are baptized into Christ. (Go to
Jesus, the Only Savior for more
information.)
Living the Christianity life is a process. As a young
Christian, you learn to control emotions by understanding the
Jesus is with you.

How many animals were on the ark?
At least 2 of every land animal. Those who study these things

were small. The ark was large enough to hold all the animals and
then have plenty of room for the food.

Corinthians 12 Why did Paul write this letter? The letter is so

Corinth was a very wicked city. The Corinthian church

Why did Jesus turn water into wine?
This was the first miracle Jesus did. The gospel of John tells
us the purpose of His miracles.
Two important, interesting statements
from our study of the book of John.
Can a Christian
drink wine as long as he/she doesn't get drunk and do it to
where it will offend someone? What does the bible say?
There are 2 problems:
1. Do not get drunk.
"The acts of the sinful nature are
obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry
and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish
ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness,
orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those
who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."
(Galatians 5:19-21)
2. Do not drink if it cause another to stumble.
Paul discusses eating (which would include drink) in I
Corinthians 10:23-29)
"Everything
is permissible"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is
permissible"—but not everything is constructive. Nobody should
seek his own good, but the good of others.
Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions
of conscience, for, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in
it."
If some unbeliever invites you to a
meal and you want to go, eat whatever is put before you without
raising questions of conscience. But if anyone says to
you, 'This has been offered in sacrifice,' then do not eat it,
both for the sake of the man who told you and for conscience
sake-
the other man's conscience, I mean, not yours. For why
should my freedom be judged by another's conscience?"
Follow Paul's reasoning in vs. 32, 33.
"Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether
Jews, Greeks or the church of God— even as I try to please
everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but
the good of many, so that they may be saved."

If the Jews were God's "special
children", then why do so many Christians have a problem with
them not believing in Christ? I personally believe that they
believe in the same God and can enter the same Heaven. Is it
wrong to think this way?
The simple answer is that Jesus came to fulfill the
covenant God gave to the Israelites...their special position. It
was done through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. (Hebrews
9)
Now, there is another chosen people...those who believe in Jesus
are saved.

Why don't we follow the Old Testament's
613 commandments as well as the 10 that Moses gave us? How do I
explain to my teacher that the first 10 aren't good enough?
You might try to convince your teacher that none
of the Mosaic Law is good enough. It has been abolished and
replaced with the law of grace through the sacrifice of Jesus on
the cross.
"But
the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the
covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and
it is founded on better promises. For if there had been nothing

In your opinion what is the most
important thing that today's teens can learn from the Book of
Hebrews?
Actually there are 4 things:
Jesus destroyed the power of the devil.
"Since the children have flesh and blood,
he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might
destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and
free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their
fear of death."
(Heb. 2:14)
The blood of Jesus cleans us up.
"How much more, then, will the blood of
Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself
unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that
lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!"
(Heb. 9:14)
We are to assemble together to be encourage.
"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the
habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the
more as you see the Day approaching."
(Heb. 10:25)
We are to throw off 2 things: Hindrances and Sin.
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by
such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything
that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles,
and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

My 9 year old son doesn't understand
how God and Jesus are the same. How can we explain this to him
in a way he will understand?
The truth is human thinking cannot fully understand this
relationship. The best way I have heard to explain the Trinity
is water. Water is in three forms: solid, liquid and gas...but
it is all water.
The best Bible passage I know is Philippians 2:
"Your
attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being
in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something
to be grasped (held on to), but made himself nothing, taking the
very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And
being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and
became obedient to death— even death on a cross!"

How long did it take Noah to build the
Ark?
Here are the facts. You try to solve the puzzle.
Noah did not have Shem, Ham and Japheth until he was 500 years
old.
When God called Noah, he already had Shem, Ham and Japheth. So,
judging from the example of Noah, who waited 500 years to have
children, it probably too Noah a while to have three sons.
Noah, and his family went into the ark when He was 600 years
old.
Shem, the oldest Son, was 100 years old 2 years after the flood.
The answer is uncertain, but figuring out the puzzle is
interesting.
Mardeisha
How did u build that ark like that in

did u get all those animals on that boat at ones. use the be one
there in a river shock so please tell me how u did that in one
whole day with family and all. then the flood stop then they
want back to land. so how did u do that in one day i want to
now.
God gave Noah directions on how to build the ark. Noah had a
cousin name Tubal-Cain who made all kinds of tools out of Iron
and Bronze, and probably had a school to teach others how to use
the tools. (Genesis 4:22) It took him less than 100
years...probably more like 70 years. Refer to Rosemary's
question above.
Noah did not go get the animals. They came to the ark by
themselves.
(Genesis 7:9)
Noah and his family were in the ark for one year and 10 days.

If God is omniscient and if everything

God could have created an army of robots to worship

My daughter is greatly confused about
the Lucifer being cast out of heaven and devils or demons
present on earth. She's afraid that God would cast her out of
heaven once she gets there. How do I explain this?
Demons were created by God. They are not human. The
Bible is clear: Jesus destroyed the power of Satan through his
death and resurrection.
"Since the children have flesh and blood,
he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might
destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and
free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their
fear of death."
(Hebrews 2:14,15)
Satan is powerful, but limited. Anyone who is in Christ
has nothing to fear from Satan or demons.
"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist
the devil, and he will flee from you."
(James 4:7)
When a person is in heaven, there is no power that can change
our relationship with God.
Andrew
I'd like to know about Saint Andrew.
Can you tell me some facts?
The Bible tells us very little about Andrew.
He was Peter's brother...a fisherman. (Mark 1:16)
He introduced Peter to Jesus. (John 1:44)
He was one of the 12 apostles. (Luke 6:14)
He was in the upper room with Jesus just after the ascension of
Jesus. (Acts 1:13)
Anything other than the Bible record is traditions that are not
reliable.
Denise
Can you tell me why Jesus performed
miracles to show his power and authority, yet wouldn't allow the
'demons' [in the verse below] to proclaim His deity? Also, do
you know if demons play a specific role in our lives today --
are they something different than the temptations we face
because of Satan? "Moreover, demons came out of many people,
shouting, "You are the Son of God!" But he rebuked them and
would not allow them to speak, because they knew he was the
Christ." (Luke 4:41)
All we know is that the witness of demons was not good (Acts
16:16-19), and time was not right. (John 2:4)

Is Jesus really coming back in 2013?
The truth is, the Bible does not tell us when Jesus is coming
back. It will be a surprise.
"But the day of the Lord will come like a
thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will
be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be
laid bare."

Why does Jesus hate homosexuals?
He doesn't! He hates their lifestyle. Some of the
saved people in the Corinthian church were former homosexuals
who had been saved from their life of sin and were following
Jesus.
"Do you not know that the wicked will not
inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the
sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male
prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy
nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the
kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were.
But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were
justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit
of our God."

That did not answer my question at all.
Why did God let angels, Nephilim, whatever interbreed with human
women? Why? I don't get it. It IS wrong. Please, give me a more
descriptive answer. I'm so sad over this. I might reject my
faith...
The Bible does not tell us why it happened. It just
says it happened! The actual text of Genesis 6:4 does not say
Nephilim were angels. And, how do you know it was wrong?
To reject your faith in an almighty God that created both human
and angels over this issue is sad. We do not fully understand
many things in the Bible. There are much more important issues
to contemplate.

Angels are created beings. We must not worship created
beings instead of the creator. So, we must not worship
angels.

Creator- who is forever praised. Amen."

How many years did Noah preach the
gospel?
Noah did not preach the gospel, he did not know of the
Gospel...he preached righteousness.
II Peter 2:5 implies Noah preach during the flood.
But, if you are asking how long he preach while building the
ark.
You can figure out how long he preached.
The answer is uncertain, but figuring out the puzzle is
interesting.

from the Bible or just accept the whole book as truth? There's a

righteousness, 17so
that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for
every good work."

Why is it glorious in the story of
Isaiah and Moses for them to slaughter people and steal their
belongs to get into Israel? How could god have wanted so many
children to be killed? It really bothered me when i read that
part of the bible.
There are 3 things you need to consider:
1. The people that were killed were idol worshipers and had not
treated God's people kindly. God had given them plenty of time
to repent, and they had not. This is God's judgment on his
enemies.
2. The problem of children being killed is another issue. First,
children are not responsible and are spared lives of rebellion
against God. They are in the presence of God for eternity.
3. God's judgment is sure. He even causes the enemies of Israel
to punish Israel when they do not obey God.Sally

How is the serpent in Genesis also
Satan if Satan hadn't "fallen" until it is described in Isaiah
and Ezekiel many chapters ahead? Was the serpent the underlying
source of "evil" before Satan?
Genesis 3:15 is the first prophetic mention of the battle
between Satan and Jesus. Satan would bruise the heal of
Jesus (wound, but not lethal), Jesus would crush the head of
Satan. (lethal).
II Corinthians 11:1-2 is a reference to this event in history.
"But I am afraid that just as Eve was
deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led
astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ."
In Revelation 12 the serpent is identified as Satan.

language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

and the manna and quail that fell from the sky. Also God was
also protecting them in the night with a pillar of fire to keep
them warm, going and for them to see and a cloud during the day
to keep them out of the hot sun. In battles that they had God
was able to help them win them and keep! the enemies away. Also
he gave them the Ten Commandments. Then the sad thing was that
when Moses got down from the mountain they were worshipping this
idol. If God gave them the option to follow him after all of
this why did they not do it and follow him. The only time when
they called for his help was when they were in times of need.
Why did they do this?????
This is no excuse, but the people had been slaves for
centuries...and did not know God. The prophets talked about the
people being faint of heart and weak as water.
(Ezekiel 21:7)
Jesus told the people in Luke 24 that they were slow of
heart. (Luke 24:25)
The people had little faith.

Who is Jesus?
"...Christ Jesus: Who, being in very
nature God, did not consider equality with God something
to be grasped (held on to), but made himself nothing, taking the
very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And
being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and
became obedient to death—even death on a cross!
(Philippians 2:2-8)
"In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the
beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing
was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was
the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the
darkness has not understood it."
He was in the world, and though the world was made through him,
the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his
own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received
him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God— children born not of natural descent,
nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have
seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,
who came from the Father, full of grace
and truth."

Why do you guys hate gays so much? Were
just trying to live happy lives?
God does not hate gays, but He does describe them in Romans
1:26,27:
"Because of this, God gave them over to
shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations
for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned
natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for
one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men,
and received in themselves the due penalty for their
perversion."
Who am I to question God? Where is the happiness in
unnatural, shameful perversion,
But, there is hope:
"Do you not know that the wicked will
not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither
the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male
prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy
nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the
kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But
you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our
God."

Do you actually believe in this ____?
How can you in good conscience teach this stuff to kids?
Shouldn't they be allowed to develop beliefs for themselves, and
not have something forced upon them? For real, this might as
well be child abuse. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Kids do not learn by themselves, they learn from what they are
told and experience. Where is their choice if they are not told
both sides of the issue?
If you have not been given the choice of looking at the evidence
to make an educated decision, you have been abused. You have
made a choice without considering the massive evidence that the
Bible is true...and the word of God. Choices are not always
permanent...you still have a chance!

In one of your articles, you state that
salvation=repent and be baptized. There are many good examples
to support this. However, there is one clear example that I
would love to hear your opinion on: that of the thief on the
cross from the Gospel of Luke. Jesus told him that he would be
with him in Paradise, but it is very clear that, although he
repented (as shown by a study of the Greek word for "remember"),
there was no chance for him to be baptized. Is there some kind
of loophole for those that have run out of time to be baptized?
Please let me know your thoughts on this scriptural example.
Good questions:
Yes! The thief was saved on the cross. And, Noah, Abraham,
Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David, Isaiah, Jeremiah, etc.
were saved, but they were not baptized. Baptism was not an issue
for them. The thief could not have been baptized into
Jesus even if he wanted too. (Romans 6:1-4) Jesus had not yet
shed his blood!
What happened to the thief on the cross is not relevant to our
baptism discussion.

increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any

This is a discussion of sin and grace.

without works is dead.)
2. A person dies to sin when they are baptized into

I need to know what verse states...u
will live the wrath of ur sister, then something like...all men
will hate me and no doors will open up for me, stop hanging out
in the streets/god is a jealous god/put no man before
him........my sister told me last night but i cant remember the
exact verse...can u tell me what that means.....do i need to
prove my faith, do more, change my ways....pls help......i think
god was trying to tell me something threw my sister....... pls
help!
It sounds like you sister is trying to get you to
change your life. I do not
recognize all these specific statements. You need to ask your
sister. But, there are many references to God as a jealous God.
The first time is when God gave the 10 commandments. (Exodus
20:5) It is in the context of the people worshiping false,
lifeless Gods. (Exodus 24:14)
The most important thing is your statement "Do I need to
prove my faith, do more, change my ways."
Faith is a result of what we know about Jesus...Jesus
is the Son of God, the Savior of the world. Without Him,
we are hopelessly lost.
Faith is not proven by what I say...it is proven by what I do.
"What good is it, my brothers, if a man
claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?
Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.
If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and
well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good
is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not
accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, "You have
faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I
will show you my faith by what I do.
(James 2:14-19)
Many people claim to be saved...but live ungodly, immoral lives.
A good place to get an idea of what Godly living is like, study
Ephesians 4:17-5:7. If my life does not measure up to this
standard, I need to make some changes. Another great study is
the Sermon on the mount. (Matthew chapters 5-7)
The most important issue is whether you are in Christ!
If you are not in Christ, all the above has not real
meaning.
Go to
Jesus, the Only Savior.
Compare your life with what the Bible says.

Why did Jesus die on the cross?
Sin separates us from God.
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name
under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
(Acts 4:12)
"But, God demonstrates his own love for us
in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since
we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we
be saved from God's wrath through him!"
(Romans 5:8,9)
"Who, being in very nature God, did not
consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made
himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made
in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he
humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a
cross!
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the
name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every
knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and
every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of
God the Father."
(Philippians 2:6-11)

Why do people sin and forget about God?
Some do not want to serve God.
Some let spiritual weeds keep them from God. (II Peter
2:20)
Some just do not know God.
How do I be brave?
Build your faith through knowing the Word of God.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is
useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in
righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped
for every good work."

"Submit yourselves, then, to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
(James 4:7)
Read Romans 8:28-39.

How many years did Noah preach before
the ark was built and where in the Bible does it talk about it.
Genesis 6:3...God gave the world 120 years to repent.
Genesis 6:9-10...God called Noah. He had three sons, Shem, Ham
and Japheth.
Genesis11:10...2 years after the flood, Shem was 100 years old.
Noah and his family were in the ark 1 year and 10 days.
If Shem was alive when Noah was called, Noah preached no more
than 97 years. If all three of Noah's sons were alive when God
called Noah, he probably did not preach over 80-85 years.
Actually we know for sure is that Noah was a preacher of
righteousness. (II Peter 2:5)

Dear Uncle Noah. "Irene Did Noah put
fish on his ark? No! Only land animals were in the ark. (Genesis
7:14)" But what happened to the fresh water fishes? Did Noah
bring them on board? Cause they would die in salt water and
opposite, wouldn't they?
When Noah took the animals on the ark there was only one body of
water. (Genesis 1:9) All the fish would be fresh water fish. How
we have the difference between fresh water and salt water fish,
I cannot tell you. But, since God created the fish, I suspect he
build fresh and salt into their genes.

Why does God approve of murder of
infants, children, women in the old testament? (example Joshua
and Cannanites, David and Kenites) how can David be a man after
Gods own heart when he murdered so many women and children? why
does God approve of murder?
God does not murder anyone. God is the God of love...and
justice. God had given all the people mentioned above plenty
of time to repent of their wicked ways...and they refused.
There are several issues here:
1. Not every person who was killed was eternally condemned. (For
instance: children who did not know better,)
"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the
death of his saints."
(Psalms 115:16)
2. If left in the basket, bad apples will ruin all the apples.
3. At some point, God just turns the wicked over to do all kinds
of bad things...and they deserve death.

What is the difference between respect
and honor from the Bible? Does one imply the other or not? How
do these affect us with those over us in regards to obedience?
Romans 13 tells us plainly to submit to the ruling
authorities. God sets up nations
and brings down nations. We are not to rebel against
authorities. (Study I Peter 2:13-17) We are to show respect to
all and honor what God has established, but...obedience is something else:
"But Peter and John replied, 'Judge for
yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you
rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have

couched in archaic language.

How many times a week should we meet to
worship?
We are to worship our powerful, majestic, loving God
every day. The New Testament church assembled on Sunday (the day
Jesus was resurrected) to encourage each other.
"Speak to one another with psalms, hymns
and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the
Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in
the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Submit to one
another our of reverence for Christ."

another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

I grew up in a church that offered The
Lord's Supper every week. The church we attend now only offers
it once a month. Should our family (my husband, myself and my
child) have our own Lord's Supper in our home each week it is
not offered at church. What are your thoughts?
The issue is not whether you and your family should
have your own Lord's supper in your home. It is that you are
attending a church that is no longer following the New Testament
pattern for worship.
A feast to Remember
I would suggest it would be good for your family to privately
evaluate the church you are attending through our study of the
church. Remember this is a private family issue. Do not make
this an issue until your are convinced from your study that it
is Biblical to take the Lord's Supper weekly.

Do animals go to heaven?
Animals are designed to glorify God in their
creative design, function and beauty. They are useful as food,
companionship, delight and service to man.
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible

seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are

Are you aware that the true Shabbat day
is not on Sunday, never has been and it never will be. It was in
fact the Roman Empire and the Universal Catholic Church back in
325 AD/CE that changed the true Shabbat Day, and it is the day
of the L-rd. Even Yeshua/Jesus told us all to keep the Shabbat
Day and he also stated that he is L-rd of the Shabbat. He rose
from dead on the third day not on Sunday, but Saturday, and was
crucified on the 14th of Nisan which was on a Wednesday over
2,000 years ago. Making Yeshua/Jesus the L-rd of the Shabbat. It
starts at sunset Friday and ends at sunset Saturday. Are you
also aware that there are (7) strict feast days to be kept
forever and that one is coming up on the 8th of April 2009 and
it is to be kept for 7 days of unleaven bread by everyone? Well
it is, both the Jews and the Gentiles are to keep this day. May
I suggest that you read Exodus 12:1-50. Thank you for your time.
The Mosaic law was for the Jews only. The Sabbath was
part of the Mosaic Law...which was fulfilled in the sacrifice of
Jesus. (Hebrews 8:13) Jesus was raised on the first day of the
week (Sunday). You are right in saying Sunday is not the true
Sabbath. The physical Sabbath no longer exists. Hebrews 4 talks
about a spiritual rest for the people of God (Christians).
Why are you saying that the Old
Covenant was set aside and done away with? For it was not.
Yeshua/Jesus said not 1 yod or stroke would be removed from the
law (torah) till all things thay were to be fulfilled what the
prophets said were fulfilled. Are you aware that both the old
and the new testament are one? Are you also ware that GOD has
never done away with the Old Covenant and neither did Yeshua/Jesus?
We were all saved from the curse of the law, however the law of
the old Covenant is still in effect till this day. Please reread
the Bible? For you are telling untruths to others on your
website. I read more than one Complete Bible and I would suggest
that you check out David H. Stern's Complete Jewish Bible! And I
am pointing out biblical facts period. I would suggest that you
go back and read scripture again, for it is in there. The old
covenant will be held forever and Yeshua/Jesus ever said this
too. Thank you for your time.
The key to your premise is the word fulfilled.
Jesus fulfilled the Mosaic law! (Hebrews 8) The Perfect
sacrifice for sin (Jesus) made all other sacrifices obsolete.
(Hebrews 10:18) Oops! Another part of the Mosaic Law is gone.
The Old and New Testament are not one. The New Testament is
described as a will.(Hebrews 9:16) A will comes into affect when
the person who wrote the will dies. Any other will (testament)
is made void...and is no longer binding.
But, they are connected in the sense that the Old Testament is a
shadow of the New, (Hebrews 10:1) and it is a teacher (Romans
15:4) that warns of things not to do. (I Corinthians 10:11)
Even after the Mosaic Law is fulfilled and made obsolete, you
are right in saying the curse of the law is still with
us. The curse is believing that anything other than the
blood of Jesus can save us from our sins.

What happens to us immediately
after we die?
It is important to be in Christ. After we die there are only 2
options:
1. In Christ...Heaven
2. Not in Christ...Hell
What happens immediately is of no consequence. There is not
changing the options.
Jesus said the thief would be with him in Paradise. It is
unclear exactly what Paradise is, but it is a place where souls
wait for judgment.
Those who do not believe go to a place of torment.

If a person pretends to speak in
tongues, are they doing right.
If you pretend, you are a hypocrite. A hypocrite is an actor,
playing a part. So you are doing a lie.
There is a lot of misunderstanding about speaking in tongues.
The second issue you have is that unless you spoke a specific
language without learning that language, you were not speaking
in tongues.
Speaking in tongues had a specific purpose in the New
Testament...and the purpose was fulfilled before the end of the
first century.

Is the current economic crisis a
punishment from God?
It is a fact that God could solve the problem now...if
He chose to do so. At times he allows things to happen so that
he can get our attention. God allowed the Israelites to be in
slavery in Egypt for hundreds of years before sending
Moses to deliver them.
What is he trying to tell us?
God wants us to trust in Him...not money and things.
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about
your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what
you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the
body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air;
they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your
heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than
they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the
field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not
even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here
today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much
more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying,
'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we
wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your
heavenly Father knows that you need them.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry
about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day
has enough trouble of its own
(Matthew 6:25-34)
We must work, and let God produce the fruit of our labor.
"He who has been stealing must steal no
longer, but must work, doing something useful with his
own hands, that he may have something to share with those
in need."
(Ephesians 4:28)

Intelligence does not make a person important or special.

about God is not the same as knowing God.

Where did God come from?
It is difficult for humans to understand God had no beginning or

"No temptation has seized you except what

you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey
him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you
obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death,
or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks
be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you
wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were

For
the roman Catholic! I just want to question them with regards to
the Virgin Mary they are praying because she is not a virgin cause
she actually had siblings after Jesus? I'm just being curious to
ask you?
I do not know why anyone would deny the plain statements of the
Bible.
"Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his
mother's name Mary, and aren't his brothers James, Joseph,
Simon and Judas? Aren't all his sisters with us? Where
then did this man get all these things?"
(Matthew 13:55,56)
Honoring Mary is one thing. Worshiping Mary is another things. The Bible
plainly teaches that worshiping a man (or woman) is a foolish
thing. (Romans 1:22,23)
I guess the best thing is to ask a Catholic teacher.
If there is eternal death, why then God
created men?
Because there is eternal life for those who
accept it.

Why do we need a savior?
"But
your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have
hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear."
(Isaiah 59:2)
We must be reconciled to God.
"Without the shedding of Blood there
is not forgiveness."
(Hebrews 9:22)
"How much more,
then, will the blood of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God,
cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we
may serve the living God!"

When is the earth gona end?
The Bible does not tell us.
"Now,
brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you,
2for you know very well
that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
3While people are
saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them
suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not

Will we know our people in heaven?
The Bible does not tell us specifically.
In the story of the rich man and Lazarus, the rich man recognized
Abraham. (Luke 16)
In Luke 20:34,35 there is a contrast between the world and eternal
life. There will be no marrying or giving in marriage in heaven.
There will be no sorrow, so the memory of the lost will gone.

Hey what do I do
when people ask me, where did God come from?
This is a common question. God is spirit that has no beginning and
no end. This is impossible for humans to understand, so we must
evaluate circumstantial evidence. We are not expected to have
blind faith.
The world is so complex and well designed it had to have a maker.
"For since the creation of the world God's
invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been
clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that
men are without excuse."
(Romans 1:20)
By faith we decide the maker. The only choices we have are God
and chance (evolution). An honest study of evolution does
not give us a reasonable answer.
"By faith we understand that the universe
was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made
out of what was visible."
(Hebrews 11:3)

What is the meaning of Nebuchanezzar's
statue in the book of Daniel?
Daniel 2:36-45.
There will be a series of kingdoms after Nebuchanezzar (Persian,
Greek and Roman). Each kingdom would be weaker. During the Roman
Empire a kingdom (not made my man) would come that would
destroy...and never be destroyed. This kingdom was the spiritual
kingdom called the church.

I have an 11 year old in class who
cusses, how do I explain to him that this is wrong?
There are many modern words that are used casually...not knowing
what they mean. There is a difference between taking the Lord's
name in vain and crude, vulgar language.
Taking the Lord's name in vain is calling on God casually
or insincerely. Asking God to damn people is taking over
God's work.
Thoughtless, negative chatter does not build anyone up.
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come
out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others
up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who
listen."
(Ephesians 4:29)
How we speak tells others what we are inside.
"Nor should there be obscenity,
foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place,
but rather thanksgiving. But among you there must not be even a
hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of
greed, because these are improper for God's holy people."
(Ephesians 5:3.4)
If there was only
Adam and Eve, with whom did their children multiply the earth
with? Was this incest and if so, what does God say about it?
The issue is marriage...one
man and one woman. At first relatives (brothers, sisters, cousins.
etc) married.

Dear, Uncle Noah who made God? Please
answer my question.
God is an eternal spirit...without beginning and without
end. The idea of eternity is beyond human understanding. Our faith
is in what we see...and the word (Bible) God has given.
"For since the creation of the world God's
invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been
clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so
that men are without excuse."
(Romans 1:20)
"By faith we understand that the universe
was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not
made out of what was visible."
(Hebrews 11:3)
"All
Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God
may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
(II Timothy 3:16,17)

For lack of a better word, we call God (the father), Christ and

How did you get to believe in god?
1. Look around. Our world is so remarkably made that it
had to have a powerful, caring creator. But, understanding there
is a God does not tell us who God is. A caring creator would not
expect us to have blind faith...so he provides a mountain
of undeniable evidence.

I have a friend who is 13 and have a bad
boyfriend problem. People come up to her telling her what another
girl is saying she's going with her boyfriend. She cries and cries
about none sense! What should I do?
There are at least 4 things to consider here:
1. 13 years old is really young for any girl to be dating.
2. Dating is a getting-to-know boys/girls time. You cannot get to
know boys/girls (plural) unless you are with boys (plural).
3. When your friend cry's about nonsense, it shows she is not
ready to date.
4. Encourage her to do something else with her time. There is
plenty of time to get serious.

Just a funny story here!
It was about how the belief that a cosmic Jewish zombie who was
his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat
his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your
master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is
present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking
snake to eat from a magical tree... makes perfect sense.
This is a sad excuse for humor...ridiculing
God. It is obvious you have not read the source of the true story
of the loving God you despise...the Bible. My grandson has nailed
it with the only option you have to take the place of God.
Well, I have a funny story here too!
It’s about a billion brainless telepathic cosmic tiny
particles that fell into place, perfectly. Then held their breath
for a billion years. While holding their breath, they ate food and
pickled themselves in they’re own secretions. In the time that
they are pickling themselves, they somehow moved out of their
large mass of rotting secretions...without the ability to move.
Then, believe it or not, billions of these brilliant little
telepathic masses, did the exact same thing...they formed together
perfectly, to make an organism! Not only did they do it at the
same time, they where all in the same place at the exact same
time. This process happened at least twice. After happening twice,
the two organisms, apparently the same species, found each other
across the universe, and miraculously mated!
These creatures must have been extremely long living, and lucky.
Well, remember, they were telepathic. After, mating, their
offspring morphed into larger species and were smart enough to
turn themselves into yellow-jello.
These, new morphed creatures, became extremely smart, because of
aliens I guess, and one of them became a ribbed-creature, that
morphed AGAIN! The yellow-jello didn’t just morph once, you see
he, or she, morphed many many, MANY times! This must have been a
VERY large yello-jello.
Anyway, one of the morphed beings, was the master of all the
others. He was capable of making
something called a false religion. Then, another of the morphed
masters, made fun of the ‘false’ religion, by typing an email, to
a believer of this false religion. One of the yellow-jello,
telepathic cosmic, critters might look like you!

I have a friend who is going though a
really hard time. I think she might commit suicide. She needs help
but I don't know what to tell her.
1. Be her friend through everything. It might be
uncomfortable, but Listen and don't tell any other person about
her problems unless she needs professional help...and only with
her full knowledge.
2. Tell her about your friend Jesus. He died for every
person. The apostle Paul was a murderer. The apostle Peter denied
his friend Jesus. Read the list of the sins that plagued the
believers before they were cleaned up by the blood of Jesus. (I
Corinthians 6:9-11)
3. God does not make mistakes! Every person is made for a
purpose and special to God.
One of the Old Testament judges Jephthah was the son of a
prostitute. (Judges 11,12) King David was the youngest son of
Jesse. (I Samuel 16) Ruth was a Moabite women. (Ruth 1) Moses was
a fugitive when he was called by God to deliver the Israelites out
of Egypt. One of the prophets (Amos) was a shepherd and took care
of sycamore-fig trees.

Was there a flood before Noah's flood?
The Bible does not tell us, but there was not a world-wide flood.
It probably had not rained before the flood. Since God put a
rainbow in the sky after the flood there probably was not. A
rainbow would not be an unusual sign. Part of the flood water came
out of the ground.

Isn't the bible the
biggest load of contradictory ___ you've ever read?
I am glad you are part of the
childrensbibestudy.com family.
I mean, seriously, aren't you wasting your time? What on Earth can
you possibly "learn" from it that isn't either wrong, ridiculous
or pathetically generic?
If you are serious, you will do what
others have done...start by reading the Bible. Start with the New
Testament book of John. It is written so that you will believe.
In fact, there's no evidence at all to suggest the existence of
most of what the bible mentions, especially this "god" joke.
If you are serious you will look at the
Historical Evidences.
Write me again after
you have studied this material.
Strangely, there's been absolutely no findings at any point in
history to suggest that he does exist. None.
The only options we have in this matter
is God or blind Chance. Investigate our
creationevolution.org site with an open mind.
I must admit, I do find it rather amusing that you people need to
consult an old book to discover & endorse what I would refer to as
common decency, or even common sense. It's almost pitiful, don't
you think? Aren't you proud of the fact that you couldn't manage
to be a decent person without this superstition?
What do you consult to learn about
common decency or common sense? Left to his own resources, man is
a beastly character.
Religion and belief in some sort of "god" is the single biggest
cause of argument, misery and loss of life in human history. Isn't
it great?
Yes, it is great! Every culture in the
history of the world has had some form of religion. Do you have
greater insight than all people in the world.
John 4:46-53? Mark 10:35-45? What the hell is this rubbish?!?!
All of these people seem
to do different things for no apparent reason, and there is no way
in which what they think or do or 'are instructed to do by "god"'
are relevant to you or anybody else.
I am delighted that you quote the Bible.
It is good that you do believe in Hell.
Hopefully you will find the way to avoid it!
The purpose of John 4 is found in John 20:30,31.
"Jesus did
many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples,
which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that
you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and
that by believing you may have life in his name."
Mark 10 demonstrates how some
misunderstand the purpose of Jesus.
What evidence can you
give me for the great flood?

Which presidential candidate is better
from a biblical/Christian point of view, Obama or McCain? Please
answer frankly.
Jesus is not primarily concerned about politics. He
confronted leaders and ordinary folk in the same way. Jesus is
concerned about spiritual/moral issues. Your place is to listen to
what politicians say and see which person is most god-like. Here
are the primary issues based on Ephesians 4:17-5:7:
1. Do not lie! Misrepresenting the truth is lying.
2. Do not steal! Work so you can give!
3. Do not be greedy!
4. Don't have even a hint of sexual immorality.
5. Have no obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking.
6. Do not be associates with evil people.
7. Do not be bitter and full of rage.

When was God born?
He was not born. He is eternal...without beginning or end. Because
we live in time, it is difficult to understand the idea of
eternity.
There are 2 ways we know God exists:
1. His creation
"For
since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his
eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen,
being understood from what has been made, so that men are
without excuse."
(Romans 1:20)
2. His Word
"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling
among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,
who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."
(John 1:14) Read John 1:1-14.
"In the past God spoke to our forefathers

Holy Trinity
This is oversimplified, but gives the main idea.
God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are different parts of the Godhead
or Trinity. They have the same mind and purpose, but different
functions. The best (but inadequate) way I know to explain the
Trinity is H20. It is found in 3 forms (water, ice and
steam)...but it is still H20. Without H20 life as we know it would
not exist.
Read John 1:18...Jesus is God!
II Corinthians 13:12,13...Grace of Jesus, love of God and
fellowship of Holy Spirit.

I have to speak about Jacob wrestling
with god to youth and don't know how to bring it across
successfully.
This is an interesting story from Genesis 32.
Jacob was not the man he should have been. He had not treated
his brother Esau right and was on his way to meet him. The text
says a man wrestled with Jacob all night. When this man saw he
could not win he caused a limp in Jacobs walk.
The man blessed Jacob and changed his name to Israel (you have
struggled with God and men and have overcome). The Bible does not
tell us what all this means, but this event changed Israel from a
devious man to a faithful man.
From Israel's statement in 32:30 "It is
because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared."
we know Israel thought he had wrestled with God.

them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not
so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must

Preparing lesson note on Daniel revealing

Daniel's dreams and Kids dreams are not the same issue. Daniel's
dreams were prophetic visions. God does not speak to us in
prophetic visions. Everything we need to know is in the revealed
Word.

Hello, my child attends a Christian
school and she came home last week telling me that her teacher
said there is no tooth fairy, Santa or Easter bunny. I understand
as Christians we should not believe in them but I think there
could have been a better way to break it down to 5 year olds. Do
you think you can help me explain to my child "it's all about
Jesus"? Thanks.
This is a difficult situation. Unfortunately, all these tales are
not "all about Jesus". Somewhere back in history folk-stories and
legends were adapted to Christianity...and Christians went along
with the fantasy even when they knew they were not about Jesus. I
do not know how to deal with this except to explain the situation,
apologize and tell your children they are just fun, made up
stories.

Hello. I would like some ideas for
children's work involving faith. Hebrews 11 vs 1-6.
These verses are an introduction to the rest of the chapter. There
are two points to emphasize.
1. 11:3...by faith we believe God created the world.
2. 11:6...without faith it is impossible to please God.
Another verse is Romans 10:17...faith comes by hearing what God
has to say.
Remember, God does not expect us to have blind faith. He gives us
plenty of evidence to believe.

Why when u read the bible, kids like
10-11 year olds cannot understand as fast as adults can
understand?
At times adults do not understand very well. The best thing for
kids at this level to do is learn the stories of the Bible like
Adam & Eve, Noah, etc. It is okay if you do not understand all the
story, wait until you are older. Then you will understand.

All children's bible are not translations from the original text,

why it is very important check any interpretation against a
reliable translation.

Did God create Adam and Eve as adult or
did they pass thru child growth as any other child?
Adam and Eve were created as adults.

created him; male and female he created them."
(Genesis 1:27)
Sylvia
How do you teach children and young
adults about how they can be a miracle to someone?
You can't. Miracles are events that cannot be explained by natural
laws. Anything that comes from us can be explained through the
power of God that works through us. People are not miracles, they
are only servants. If you see what you think is a miracle, it is
of either from God or Satan. (II Thessalonians 2:8-10)
If you are asking how we can be inspirations to others, this is a
different issue. We do it by being faithful servants of God who
stand for what we believe.

God is eternal. We as humans cannot understand the concept of no

Where is heaven?
All we know for sure is that heaven is a spiritual
place...not of this world.
"For the Lord himself will come
down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of
the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in
Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are
left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to
meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Therefore encourage each other with these words."
(I Thessalonians 4:16-18)
The apostle Paul talks of a place called the third heaven that
cannot be described.
"I know a man in Christ who fourteen years
ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in
the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. And I know
that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not
know, but God knows— was caught up to paradise. He heard
inexpressible things, things that man is not permitted to tell."

Original sin
The original sin was when Satan rebelled against God. The original
human sin was when Eve ate the fruit of tree of Knowledge (Genesis
3). There is the idea that because of the first sin, every person
since Eve has been born guilty of sin. This belief understands
that baptism is necessary for salvation, so all babies must be
baptized.
This teaching is not true!
Salvation is based on belief. (John 3:16) A child does
not have the ability to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. At
the point of understanding, guilt becomes real and faith in Jesus
leads to salvation.
It is true that baptism is necessary for salvation (I Peter
3:21), but all of us are guilty of our own sin, not the sin of
another person.

The fact that the Gentiles (Acts 10)
received the Holy Spirit before they were water baptized proves
they were already saved before they were water baptized. This is a
Bible truth. Thank you!
It sounds good, but let's check it out.
Peter explains what happened in Acts 11:15. What happened in
chapter 10 was the same things that happened in Acts 2...the house
of Cornelius received the gift of speaking in tongues. This
happened before Peter told the story...Cornelius and his house had
not yet heard the gospel. Then Peter said he could not appose God,
so he baptized them in the name of Jesus Christ. (10:47) The same
thing happened in Acts 2:37-38. Believers were not saved until
they were baptized.

Can you commit a sin without knowing it?
Yes. Ignorance is no excuse! Read Ephesians 4:17-5:7.
If you can, how are u supposed to ask God
for forgiveness for all the wrongs we don't know we are doing?
The key is being in the light...in Jesus!
"But if we walk in the light, as
he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the
blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
If we claim to be without sin, we
deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Dear Noah. Say if you where worrying to

God will forgive! The Biblical emphasis is not worrying...it
is trusting God. The only way to trust God is to know Him.

A friend of mine has a a mother and she's
also a Christian and she said ''on the cross Jesus said that he
will forgive all kids of what they have done until the age 12. Is
that true?
No. Jesus forgave the sins of one of the thieves who
died with him.
There is a difference between knowing something is wrong and
knowing it is something that separates them from God. Children who
do not know what sin is are not guilty. At some point children
know their sins will cause them to be lost and Jesus is the only
way they can be saved. At that point their sins cause them to be
separated from God.

Please explain 1st Corinthians chapter 7?
It is really confusing since Paul puts his own opinion in there!!
This is one of Paul's comments that is not easily understood.
Jesus did not talk about the issue of a mixed marriage

is expanding on what Jesus (the Lord) said.

If you are a Christian will you go to
heaven? How can you tell if you're going to heaven?
Faithful Christians will go to heaven.
"Not everyone who says to me,
'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who
does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to
me on that day, 'Lord, Lord', did we not prophesy in your name,
and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then
I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you
evildoers!'"

I want to know about the Israelites.
The name of Jacob,
the son of Isaac, was change to Israel after he wrestled
with an God. Israel means "You have wrestles with God and men
and prevailed". God promised Abraham, Israel's grandfather,
that a great nation would come from his family. Israel's sons
ended up in Egypt. Israel became a great nation, were delivered
from Egypt and were given the Promised Land.
The story is told from the book of Exodus to the end of the Old
Testament (Malachi)
Jesus was an Israelite.

I have been teaching the 4's and 5's in
Sunday school. One 4 yr. was reduced to tears when we talked about
Samson killing the lion. I felt so bad that I had done something
to frighten her. Earlier in the term one little boy commented we
shouldn't do that when telling about Joshua taking the Promised
Land in battle. I explained to him why this was done through God,
etc. and the next Sunday he acted blood thirsty, instead, and
wanted to know if any people were killed in the next battle. I
said, yes. Then he was happy and said , yaaaaay! I hope you see my
problem. The Bible's violence is easier to explain to adults. I
wonder if anyone has ever considered the way the Bible is taught
to small children or if its updated in its choice of subject
matter in relation to the age of the child. Have you ever taught
Sunday school to a group of little ones? Probably not. It is
usually women. I think some psychology is needed here to do a
better job. What do you think? I am a mom and grandmother, but
this has taken me aback and I feel unqualified.
I have taught small children. and I was taught the
Bible stories when I was small. The reaction of your little
student is not unusual...it is the nature of boys. Maybe the
reaction of your little boy was because he is saturated by the
violence in television, movies, video games, etc. If so, this is a
parental problem. Your little girl is a sensitive soul.
Regardless of cultural circumstance, if we take all the violence
and evil out of the Bible, we have not told the real story of the
great love and judgment of God. How can we teach the most
important story in the Bible without telling our children about
the crucifixion of Jesus?
The Israelites were commanded to tell their children the
historical facts.
It is interesting that Bible writers very seldom dwell on the
violence. They state it simply and go on. The emphasis is on the
reason for violence...anger, judgment, etc.

I need help with a bible story/activity
that would be good to go along with sports for kids. Any help is
greatly appreciated.
Paul uses the example of running and boxing. In the
Olympics of his day, only the winner got the prize. All the
faithful win the victory crown.
"I do all this for the sake of the gospel,
that I may share in its blessings. Do you not know that in a race
all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a
way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes
into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not
last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
Therefore I do not
run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man
beating the air."
(I Corinthians 9:3:23-26)

Since i am the religion of Hinduism...why
do you believe in this GOD?
There are many religions in the world that worship different gods.
The challenge all of us face is: How do we know which god is
the real God?
There is no god like the God of the Bible!
The God of the Bible is loving, gracious and is involved in
our lives. He is our creator and knows what is best for His
creation. He protects us by telling us what to do and not do. He
does not want any of us to be lost, and has provided a way for us
to be saved and live with Him forever. This way is Jesus, the
Son of God. Since the God of the Bible is loving, just and
absolutely fair, those who are not in Jesus will be lost
forever because of their lack of faith.
God does not expect us to have blind faith, so He has
provided His word (the Bible).
Since Jesus is the primary focus of the Bible, proving Jesus
was actually raised from the dead provides a solid basis for our
faith.
Jesus is alive?
In a few weeks we will have an in-depth 12-part study of evidences
that prove the Bible is true.

I am preparing visuals for 3rd graders on King David. Of course as
a boy it refers to him as ruddy. In school we were taught that
ruddy was usually an adjective used to describe complexion.
However, a few history sites that I have hit on, suggests that
ruddy referred to his hair color. Which is right?
David's description is found in I Samuel

Uncle Noah, I am half Jewish and half
Gentile. Am I required by God to follow the Mosaic Laws of the Old
Testament ?
No.Jesus came to sacrifice his life for all of us. Race has
nothing to do with salvation.
Timothy, a companion of the apostle Paul, had a Jewish mother and
a Greek (Gentile) father. (Acts 16:1)
"...for all of you who were baptized into
Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew
nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in
Christ Jesus."
