I need to teach 15-17 year olds something about Justice for all as it relates to Jesus and His Father.
There is only one standard of Judgment...the blood of Jesus.
"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."
Political and national justice are not always God's justice, but governments are established by God.
Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience."
(Romans 13:1-5)
What do we do if rulers demand actions that do not agree with God's will?
"Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many."
(Hebrews 12:14,15)
But Peter and John replied, 'Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God's sight to obey you rather than God.'"
(Acts 4:19)
We do what's right...and accept the consequences.

What are the names of the 66 stories in the Bible?
Actually there are 66 books containing hundreds of stories. These books are listed in the table of contents of every Bible printed.
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, I & 11 Samuel, I & II kings, I & II Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi.

The meaning of Mark 16:15,16?
This is what Jesus told his disciples to do...just before he ascended back into heaven. It is called the Great Commission.
He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.'"

Tell me the story of the 3 kings.
I assume you are talking about the kings that came to see Jesus. (Matthew 2)
God prepared a star and the kings followed it to the land of Israel.
The Bible does not tell us the number of kings.
The kings actually went to a house to see the child Jesus, not to the manger to see the baby Jesus. (Matthew 2:;11) Herod had all two year old boy and under killed, based on what the wise men told him.
The wise men gave gifts normally given royalty...gold, incense and myrrh.

How did you fit all the animals on Noah's big boat?
At least 2 of all the land animals. Those who know about these things estimate there were from 40,000-50,000 animals on the ark. Most of these animals are very small and it would make sense for God to direct young animals to go into the ark. All these animals would easily fit into the ark with plenty of room left for food.

What is the best way to teach 5th and 6th graders about the genealogy of Jesus?
1. Matthew's account starts from Abraham and goes to Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus.
2. Matthew includes 4 women in the genealogy (Tamar, Ruth, Rahab and Mary) This is interesting because Tamar, Ruth and Rahab were gentile women.
3. Luke traces the genealogy of Jesus backward...from Joseph (a descendent of King David), to Adam.
4. Have your students go through the list and write down all the names they recognize. Have them find these characters and find out they are in order as the Bible says.

What do I need to know about fear?
Fear is dread or terror caused because I understand that someone or something can hurt me. It is the emotion that makes me want to run away. But, it includes respect and awe.
I fear God, because He is the God of justice and power. He deserves more than I can give. My fear is overcome by His love and assurance shown in the sacrifice of Jesus to cover my sin.
I fear Satan, because he can tempt me to sin. My fear of Satan is overcome because God has limited his power and given me a way of escape.
I do not live in the spirit of fear!
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
(Isaiah 41:10)
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."

Purification: A pair of doves or 2 young pigeons
"If she cannot afford a lamb, she is to bring two doves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean."
Leviticus 12:8
Luke 2

Luke 3:15-17
"The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be the Christ. John answered them all, 'I baptize you with water. But one more powerful than I will come, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.'"
John the Baptist was a powerful preacher. His work was to prepare the way for Jesus. The people were waiting for the Messiah and thought John might be the end of their wait.
John is saying that the time of the kingdom of the Messiah (Jesus) was near.

Tell me about the Bible.
The Bible is actually 66 different books written by 40 different authors...over a period of about 1,600 years. The Old Testament has 39 books and the New Testament 27 books. The first 5 books (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) were written by Moses, and the last book (Revelation) was written by John. The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
It tells the story of God's plan for man, starting with the creation and going through the establishment, purpose and structure of the church.

Why is it hard to be obedient when you try to be obedient? (ex: When your husband asks you to be quiet and you just have to get your point across) I'm a baby to Christian living, but willing. Any suggestions?
Obeying is not easy when a person is not used to obeying. Obeying is a learned response.

4 His Glory
First of all, I just discovered your website and is very informative and interesting. Thanks for spreading the good news!! My question is regarding tithing. In our household, we believe in the tithe (a 10th of all incoming funds). Recently, my husband has been searching info regarding the tithe, and he is telling me that a tithe is part of the old covenant. Since believers are now part of the new covenant. We are not required to obey the laws of the old covenant. I know that Jesus said he came to fulfill the law not abolish it. My husband feels we ought to still give, but give from our heart not a set amount as described in the old testament. I agree with the evidence he provided, but I still give a 10th and I'm not for sure as to why. Any input on the tithe. Sorry for the long email and thanks for responding.
Your husband is correct, but the tithe under the Mosaic Law was only the beginning of the annual giving. The New Testament emphasis is giving from the heart, because of need.. It is fine to give 10%, but it is not fine to bind a specific amount on others.

What is I Kings 6:31-34?
"For the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors of olive wood with five-sided jambs. And
on the two olive wood doors he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid the cherubim and palm trees with beaten gold. In the same way he made four-sided jambs of olive wood for the entrance to the main hall. He also made two pine doors, each having two leaves that turned in sockets."
This is a description of the entrance to the inner part of the temple Solomon built. In the tabernacle this inner part was the Holy Place.

I need a lesson on prosperity for a Bible report at church.
Start with Matthew 6:25-34.
Don't worry about what you have, God will take care of you. Jesus taught almost the same lesson in Luke 12. (verses 32-34 are very interesting)
God is not interested in how many material things we have...He is interested in how we use how much or how little we have.
I Timothy 6:10
If you are looking for the popular Prosperity Gospel, you will not find it in the New Testament.

Why should you read the gospel of John when you do feel like you doubt you believe in Jesus or God? What does it teach us.
Any of the gospel books will do, but John puts emphasis on His unity and relationship with God...starting with 1:18 (Jesus is God).
The love of God and Jesus are shown.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
(John 3:16)
His miracles prove that He is who he claimed to be...the Son of God.
"Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."
(John 10:37,38)

What does the Bible say about Matthew and Luke?
Not much.
Matthew was one of the 12 apostles. He was a Tax Collector. (Matthew 10:3)
Luke was a physician. (Colossians 4:14) He traveled with the apostle Paul and wrote the books of Luke and Acts.

Yeah me

There is no specific Bible answer for this question.

Why is thanksgiving important?
Thanksgiving Day is just a convenient time to be grateful for what we have. The attitude of thanksgiving is a Biblical principle.
"For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer."
(I Timothy 4:4)

How was it that Moses wrote the first 5 books of the Bible? Did he see God's Glory?
God used all kinds of people to write the Bible. Moses did see the glory of God in Exodus 19.
What is the best book to start in when your children's ministry at your church is a new ministry?
It depends on how old your children are and how much they already know. If they do not know much, it would be good to teach them the basic stories of the Old Testament starting with Genesis. Teach these stories as historical facts that fit into the plan of God.
Understanding the Bible
If they know these stories, review them and study one of the gospel books (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John). Our study of Luke will give you a good outline, information and activities.

Is it true that the end is near?
The Bible does not tell us when Jesus will come. We should live our lives as if he were to coming soon.

Who is God? A 6 year old is asking this question and I don't know how to explain it?
To a 6 year old God is the creator of everything. He is in the wind and the rain, puppies and caterpillars, flowers and trees, etc. God is in the love of a mother and the gentle voice of a loving father. God is love!
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."
(Romans 1:20)
"Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him."
(I John 4:8,9)

I do not know what your are referring to. Is this a book or are you wanting material from this time period?

What do you believe is the place of Israel in the plan of God now that Jesus has come?
Jesus is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. God kept all the land and nation promises He had made to Israel. (Joshua 23:14) The Old covenant was replaced by a New covenant.
"By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear."
(Hebrews 8:13)
The old physical kingdom of Israel was replaced by the spiritual kingdom (body) of Jesus.
The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink."
The people of Israel are included in what is called the great commission.
"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"
The resurrected Jesus, the Son of God, is the only savior!
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
(Acts 4:12)

When was Jesus really born?
The Bible does not tell us. All we know is that most of the world counts years from the time he was born, so it was about 2,006 years ago. This number could be off 3 or 4 years. It is certain he was not born on December 25th.

What does the Bible say about parenting and the stewardship of children?
The principle is clear!
Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them."
(Deuteronomy 4:9)
"Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
(Deuteronomy 11:19)
"Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged."
(Colossians 3:20,21)

My friend and I are creating a Christian group at school, and we are completely BLANK so far as ideas. Help? Worksheets, verses to memorize- ANYTHING!
Two things are essential for understanding Christianity:

2) Study the history of the church (kingdom). Use our study of the book of Acts as a study guide.
We have activities for both sections.

Mark on man so everyone would know he was wrong.

Are the religious "things" (comments and other things said) true in "The Da Vinci Code" movie.
This movie presents a view of Leonardo Da Vinci, Jesus and Mary Magdalene that is not true.

As for evolution vs. creation there are things in this world we don't understand. In modern times a day consists of 24 hours, but when God created the world he didn't specify that. As for God not being able to lie, I doubt that. For me, my God could do anything.
God try,  but it doesn't work.
God was specific in the creation account: "And there was evening and there was morning the first day."
The Law of Moses was given in Exodus 20. The Sabbath was discussed in vs. 8-11. The people were to not work, etc. on a specific day (the last day of the week). The reason was given in verse 11: "For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy." The Israelites knew God was talking about a 24-hour day.
If your God cannot lie, He is not the God of the Bible.
"God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged."
(Hebrews 6:18)

Who were the first people?
Adam and Eve.
"Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living."
(Genesis 3:20)

How many times did God talk to you?
The Bible tells us that God talked to Noah all through chapters 6-9 at least 6 times and probably more over a period of about 100 years.

Who was Thomas in the New Testament?
He was one of the 12 apostles of Jesus. His other name was Didymus. He is best know for wanting to see the actual hands and side of Jesus after Jesus was resurrected. (John 20)

How many animals were on the ark?
At least 2 of all the land animals. Those who know about these things estimate there were from 40,000-50,000 animals on the ark. Most of these animals are very small and it would make sense for God to direct young animals to go into the ark. All these animals would easily fit into the ark with plenty of room left for food.

Uncle Noah...what religion are you?
I am a Christian that follows what the New Testament says.

I know some scientists believe that the land creatures evolved from water creatures. Could God have made that happen? And, when did God make the dinosaurs, who lived for thousands of years, if he created everything in only 6 days?
It is true that some sea creatures existed before land animals, but no more than 24 hours before land animals...because they were created on the 5th day. God made the dinosaurs along with all the other animals...on the 6th day
God could have done anything he wanted...but he cannot lie. He told us the world was made in 6 days. If anyone (including a scientist) tells you it happened some other way, God is not the one telling the lie.

If Jesus was  Jew, why are we not Jew instead of being practicing Jew?
When Jesus died, the Mosaic Law was taken away. The kingdom of Jesus on earth (the church) was established. The message of Jesus was salvation for all people. It had nothing to do with race or nationality.
"He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.' "
(Mark 16:15,16)

Hi people! Christmas Day falls on December 25. It is preceded by Christmas Eve on December 24, and in some countries is followed by Boxing Day on December 26. Some Eastern Orthodox churches celebrate Christmas on January 7, which corresponds to December 25 on the Julian calendar. December 25 as a birth date for Jesus is merely traditional, and is not thought to be his actual date of birth. G''night.
Christmas Day is not in the Bible. Much of the tradition of Christmas is not in the Bible. But, it is good that people think of Jesus at least one season of the year.
There is actually very little said about the birth of Jesus. The importance of Jesus is in his death, burial and resurrection.

Where does it tell about children being a blessing in the Bible?

What scripture pertains to Christmas? (or breaks down the meaning of Christmas)
Christmas is a man-made holiday. The Bible tells us very little about the birth of Jesus.
Matthew 1:18-24
Luke 2:1-7
The wise men visited Jesus about 2 years after the birth of Jesus. (Matthew 2)

I did visit the creationevolution site. That site is dedicated to proving evolution wrong, but it doesn't prove that creation is right. I would like some proof. Could there be some other way that the world was created other than creation or evolution?
There is one more theory that I have heard...beings from outer space came to earth and planted the seeds of life. All the questions are the same for this theory?
There are only 2 real choices in this issue...creation or evolution.
Evolution is easily refuted through an honest discussion of science and logic. Science does not prove God created everything, it only proves there was a creation.
The Bible says God created the universe. (Hebrews 11:3) The real issue is simple: Is the Bible true?
Here is some information to study:

Jesus is alive?

Wow, thanks for your fast response Noah. I can't say whether the scientific evidence you’ve offered weakens the argument for evolution because I'm not a biologist - I suspect, neither are you. But the folks who are biologists - who have carefully studied ALL the evidence – they nearly all accept Darwin's theory. By saying that they're mistaken, and that you have new or better evidence than the professionals in this field, I worry that you're going to drive young people away from the Bible because yo! u lack scientific credibility. My evidence is simply this - the people who have devoted their professional lives to the study of how we got here almost all think it was through evolution. Is that fact in itself not the “reliable evidence” you ask for?
This is a response from the earlier question from Sue. Two questions down.
Refusing to make a judgment about the evidence I presented because you are not a biologist does not make sense. I did not present specific evidence from biology...my evidence is from verifiable evidence, a quote from a scientist and logic.
I do not want you to accept anything I say...without checking it our for yourself. It sounds like you are willing to accept whatever nearly all the scientists say...regardless of whether it make sense. Did you read the quote from Dr. Wald?
The theory of evolution cannot be based on verifiable science, because there is no way to prove it...and it does not make scientific sense. Evolution has not happened in recorded history.
If you are serious about your position, you need to go through the evidence presented in our creationevolution.org site and show me where the evidence is faulty. This idea that it disagrees with nearly all the scientist isn't enough.
If you insist on believing the theory of evolution, you have a more difficult problem with the authenticity of the Bible than with the authenticity of the faulty evidence for evolution.
I have made a public challenge to scientists to provide specific proof of evolution. All the so-called evidence can be more adequately explained through creation than evolution.
I have had emails from all over the world from folk who are glad to get the material presented in this site. One gentleman who studied the material decided to start teaching creation instead of evolution in his private school.
Until you provide specific evidence that disproves the material presented in this site, the official position of childrensbiblestudy.com and creationevolution.org will not be changed.

I have been having a strange experience when I pray at night. I am surrounded by white moving clouds around my body and it is a very peaceful feeling and it happens quit frequently. the other day I noticed on the palm of my hand the mark of an ash which looks a little like the cross. I couldn't figure where this came from because I cant wash it off it is in my skin. My daughter saw this the other day and told me it was an encounter with Christ. Help me to shed some understanding on this. I am in a very spiritual feeling at this time of my life!
I cannot speak to your dreams, etc. Your spiritual feelings are another issue.
The challenge all of us face is the battle between spirituality and being right with God. All religion is based on some form of spirituality.
Peace and assurance are products of being right with God...not spiritual feeling. We find out about being right with God through the Word of God.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
(II Timothy 3:16,17)
If the Bible (Scripture) thoroughly equips us, experiences are not needed and dangerous.
Feeling good is not enough!
"For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge."

We do know that Satan was able to do counterfeit miracles.
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing."

Only people who are in Christ (Christians) have the power to resist Satan.
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

1) Take our Yes Test to determine whether you are in Christ.
2) Do not take any person's advice, including mine, unless it agrees with what the Bible says. This means you will have to study the Bible diligently.

Noah. Surely all Christian children should be free to embrace the theory that the earth is millions of years old, given that nearly the entire scientific community has agreed on this for over a century. Isn’t it naïve, cowardly and rather absurd to tell children that our great nation’s most diligent scientists are in fact fools who don’t know what they’re talking about on this matter? Would we not make a better case for our faith by teaching that the two (slightly differing) creation stories in Genesis are metaphors for God’s amazing creation, our universe, rather than a factually accurate account of what He did and when he did it? Thanks
This sounds reasonable. Maybe your are talking about all the scientific community that used to think the world was flat. Maybe you are talking about the scientific community that says a fetus is just a blob of something.
Maybe you are talking about the scientists who say everything started with a "big bang"...without telling us where the gravity, electricity, water, oxygen, organic amino acids, heating, cooling, chemical-lockups, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, radiation, volcanic action, etc. necessary for first life came from. How did all this no-life stuff evolve? This so-called beginning is in every evolution book I have seen.
Maybe you are referring to the sensible statement of Dr. Wald:
"To make an organism demands the right substances in the right proportions and in the right arrangement. We do not think that anything more is needed- but that is problem enough. One has only to contemplate the magnitude of this task to concede that the spontaneous generation of a living organism is impossible. Yet here we are, as a result, I believe, of spontaneous generation." (The Origin of Life, Scientific American, Sept. 1958)
Maybe you are talking about the fact that an iron pot and a machine-made cube have been found in coal that was supposedly 300,000,000 years old.
Maybe your are talking about the evidence that dinosaur tracks are found on the roofs of coal mine shafts. But, coal was supposedly formed 215,000,000 years before dinosaurs came on the scene.
Obviously, you have not studied the material in this site and our creationevolution.org site.
I am sure would be eager to present this evidence (and much, much more) and expect your children to accept the unproven theory of evolution.
Children are free to embrace anything they wish, but it is irresponsible for us to let them believe a theory that is not true. Surely you want to teach children what the Bible teaches instead of a senseless theory.
Maybe the statement in Exodus 20:8-11 is a metaphor for something. It says God created everything in 6 days.
I think I will just go ahead and make another cowardly, absurd statement. A Christian who believes the Bible is true cannot believe the theory of evolution.
I will entertain any reliable evidence you have that proves the theory of evolution.

Who was the first person to celebrate the Christmas day?
The celebration of Christmas is not in the Bible, so you will have to try to find your answer in secular history.

I know God loves everybody, but in Numbers why did God show favoritism to Israel, His own people, then the Levites and then other tribes?
Each one of us has a purpose. What seems like favoritism is not always blessing. God chose Pharaoh for His purposes. God decided to chose Abraham to be the father of the Israelite nation. God chose the second twin (Jacob) to be the one to continue the line of Abraham. This choice had nothing to do with the goodness of Jacob. Jacob was not a good man in his early years. God does what he wants to do...and his judgment is always right. Hebrews 9:14,15 says: "What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all!
For he says to Moses, 'I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.'

Where were the ants during the flood?
Insects are not specifically named.
"Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth..."
(Genesis 7:8)

Thanks for replying to my question the info you provided was very helpful. The next question I have is what is a 3-fold salvation?
I do not know of a 3-fold salvation.

What is the meaning of Thanksgiving?
It is time set aside for remembering how blessed we are.

Who was Hezekiah?
He was one of the kings of Judah. (II kings 18-20)

Was Solomon black?
The Bible does not say. Because he was an Israelite, we can assume he was not.

The three wise kings that visited baby Jesus on the night he was born.
The three kings did not visit Jesus the night he was born. The wise men visited the child Jesus in a house, not a stable. (Matthew 2:11) King Herod asked the wise men exactly when the star appeared. He ordered all boys under 2 year old killed. Jesus was about 2 years old.
What are the three king's names?
The Bible does not say there were three wise men and does not give their names.
What did they bring for the baby?
The wise men gave gold, incense and myrrh.
When exactly was Jesus born?
Since modern time is measured by the birth of Jesus, He was born over 2,000 years ago.

Why is there a Christmas tree?
Your question is an History question. The celebration of Christmas is not a Bible issue.

All Bibles are not the same, right? Why do they publish them?
Not all Bibles are the same. Some are translations from the original Hebrew and Greek languages. These versions are put together by groups of language scholars.
Some so-called Bibles are transliterations...translated from translations.
The Bible is the most popular book every written and wear out, so new Bibles are printed all the time.

In Ezekiel 23:19-20 it says, "Yet she increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt. She lusted after their genitals – as large as those of donkeys, and their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions." Why should a Bible meant for all ages and to guide people need to include things about prostitutes, etc.?
God is not embarrassed by reality...he made it! He is disgusted with sin. Chapter 23 is part of Ezekiel's graphic, disgusting description of the sin of Israel.

I am saved and want to enlighten others of the goodness of God. Do you have any suggestions on how I can get them to come to at least a service? (I've tried numerous times). I love your site. God bless you!
At times we misunderstand the purpose of what is called the service...the time we come together on Sunday to worship God and encourage each other. This time is not designed for non-Christians. It is for the church family.
Paul tells the Corinthian church to conduct the time of worship on Sunday in an orderly way so the body is edified...and, if an unbeliever comes in, he/she will not think Christians are crazy. (I Corinthians 14:23)
The first Christians met together to encourage each other to go out and teach. Our emphasis is not the church, it is the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.
There is nothing wrong with inviting unbelievers into our assemblies, but think about preparing yourself to tell the good news...as your go.
One way is to share this web site. If you do not want to use childrensbiblestudy.com, you can send them to cbs1.org.

Genesis 7:17
For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth."
An interesting concept of lifted is found in I Peter 3:20b-22.
In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also- not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God's right hand- with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him."

I got a note from Santa and he told me if Jesus is real, he is real. Is this true?
I will use your silliness to make an important point...if you are interested. History proves Jesus lived and was crucified by the Romans. History also verifies the fact that the tomb of Jesus is empty.

Exodus 20:11
For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy."
The Sabbath is an Old Testament tradition/law. The New Testament has no such requirement. The Sabbath rest of Hebrews 4 is the spiritual rest found in Christ Jesus.

I am going through my teenage years...
Temptations are all around us. Temptation is not sinful. Jesus was tempted in every way like we are. (Hebrews 4:15) Following through on temptation makes our actions sinful.
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."
(I Corinthians 10:13)
You mentioned repentance. Repentance is basically the action of changing your mind...going in a different direction. But, repentance requires us to fill our minds with good stuff to take the place of the bad stuff.

You will not be able to overcome serious, consuming sin without being in Christ.

What is the story of Jesus being baptized?
"When Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, 'I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?'
Jesus replied, 'Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.' Then John consented.
As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him."

Are we not supposed to be friends with unbelievers? Is it like fellowship between God and Satan if we are close friends with unbelievers?
I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.
We should not be yokes with unbelievers.
"Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?"

Colossians 3:5
Fortunately, sexual sin can be forgiven.
Do you have an illustration or story about freedom? Does the Bible have any? I need it for a speech. My out line is Freedom: I. Personal freedom (the truth will set you free) II. People's freedom (Do what I wanna do) III. Country freedom (not under the rule of another country). It is not very personal, but please email me.
Your outline is simple. The Biblical answer is simple!
1) The truth will set you free. This is spiritual freedom that does not depend on personal or political freedom.
"To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, 'If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'"

(John 8:21,32)
2) People freedom  We have the right to do whatever we want, but we must be willing to deal with the consequences. Sometimes our actions are very dangerous. God has set down standards that determine our actions.
"For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord."
(Jude 1:4)
We do not do some thing because they will harm others. Read I Corinthians 8.
3) Country Freedom. The Bible does not deal with political freedom, except the fact that God raises up nations and takes down nations.

The importance of His birth is that fact that it was prophesied a long time before it happened. Go to our

The importance of his birth was declared by the angels and the wise men who worshiped Jesus about 2 years after his birth.

God does punish those who deserve to be punished.
Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth."

What is the meaning of thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving day is a time to be reminded of how blessed we are. Our blessing does not depend on how much we have physically. God knows exactly what we need!
So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
(Matthew 6:31-34)
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ."
(Ephesians 1:3)

Noah. What happens if u commit a sin?
It depends on whether you are a Christian or not.
If you are not a Christian one sin makes you guilty and condemned.
James talks about the Law of Moses, but the principle is the same.
For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."
(James 2:10)
"This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all."

(I John 1:5)
If you are a faithful Christian the blood of Jesus covers all your sin.
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."

What is proof that God really exists?
We have a choice: believe the world and everything in it happened by chance, or believe it was created.

What does Matthew 12:31 mean?

"And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven."
It is not a good thing to ridicule the Holy Spirit. Saying the Bible is not true is ridiculing the power and purpose of the Spirit. Don't continue to ridicule the Spirit!

I think we must teach kids to give at a young age.
You are right! The New Testament pattern for giving is simple: give when there is a need, and give generously. There is no amount requirement.
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
(II Corinthians 9:6-8)

I was saved accepted my Lord Jesus into my heart and life and baptized a long time ago. I left the Lord for a time and have since rededicated my heart and life for him. Should I be rebaptized?
If you were baptized for the right reason, you do not have to be baptized again.
Because of the terminology you have used in your question, it would be good for you to take the Yes Test, to make sure your first baptism was for the right reason.

Do you have a lesson on Jesus and the image of God?
Not specifically, but here are the passages.
"In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven."
(Hebrews 1:1-4)
No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known."
(John 1:18)
"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."
(John 10:28-30)

Would you give information about the Three Kings ?
Read Matthew 2.
The Bible does not say there were 3 kings. The kings followed the star from a country from the east and gave 3 different valuable gifts. The kings followed the star. They first went to Herod to get information. About 2 years after the birth of Jesus, the wise men came to a house where Jesus was living.
Because of what the wise men told Herod, he wanted to kill Jesus so he had all the boys under 2 years old killed. God warned Joseph and Mary and they escaped to Egypt.

Some of the questions are wild and crazy, but fun. Any time someone wants to know more about the Bible, I like to answer their questions.
Who started this program?
My name is Charles and I really am an uncle...by my name is not Noah. Uncle Noah is the name I chose at the beginning of this site, because Noah is one of the best known Bible characters and had animals around him. As you can see, I like to use a lot a animals in this site.

What are the main points in Luke's account of Jesus' birth.
Mary was a virgin. (Luke 1:27)
Jesus was born in Bethlehem...as prophesied.
"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn."
(Luke 2:4-7)
He is the savior. (Luke 2:11)

I want to know the story of how Mary found out she was pregnant and the birth of Jesus.
"In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, 'Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.' Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, 'Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.'
'How will this be,' Mary asked the angel, 'since I am a virgin?'
The angel answered, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. For nothing is impossible with God.'
'I am the Lord's servant,' Mary answered. 'May it be to me as you have said.' Then the angel left her."
(Luke 1:26-38)
The birth of Jesus is in Luke 2:4-7.

How old was Jesus when he died?
34 years old.

Who made God?
God is eternal...with no beginning or end. He was not made. We do not have the ability to understand eternity, because our lives are measured in time. All we can do is look around and know the world and everything in it was created, and look at the Bible and know that there is a purpose for everything.
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities- His eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."
(Romans 1:20)

"I have moved to a new town and my children where given new bibles by the church. It wasn't until recently I actually looked at them when my 7 year old refused to go back to Sunday school. Well the first couple of pages had a list of ten commandments for Children the 1. said love god more than anybody even your mother and father his Sunday school teacher also reiterated. Well know I have a child who wants to be an atheist because he thinks if he loves god he can't love his parents.
Your 7 year old seems to be very perceptive. He must love you a lot, if he is wants to exchange a relationship with God for a relationship with you.
It is true that we are to love God more than anything or anyone, but our love is shown by loving others. It is not a love one/hate the other situation. It is a love both situation.
If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen."
(I John 4:20)
If the teacher did not explain the difference, he/she does not understand.

Am I unattractive?
Remember, God made you just like your are. The world's standard of attractiveness is not the issue. God does not look on the outside...he is concerned with what you can be on the inside.
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."
(I Peter 3:3,4)
Will I ever be able to become a skinny?
Anything is possible, but the important thing is to love God and depend on Him in everything...including skinny.

Is this Battletoad?
Super hero? No! Soldier of Christ! Yes!

Why does Jesus say to kill disobedient children?
The Old Testament does say to punish rebellious children who do not honor their parents. This shows us that God is serious about obeying and honoring parents.
Jesus did not tell us to kill disobedient children.
Why does he tell parables to confuse the masses?
"His disciples asked him what this parable meant. He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, 'though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.'
(Luke 8:9,10)
The parables were about the coming kingdom (church) It was not time for the masses to understand all about the kingdom. Jesus had to explain parables to his apostles because they did not understand.

How many times did God appear to Abraham, Moses, David, Gideon, Daniel, Joseph, Jacob, Adam, Solomon, Samuel, Saul and the rest of the patriarchs in the Bible?
How many is not important. The importance is that he appeared to them.

They don't! Tithing is an Old Testament concept...giving 1/10 of one's income. The Mosaic Law was fulfilled and canceled through the death of Jesus.
Kids do need to learn to give.
The New Testament standard for giving is higher...give from the heart according to need.

Crossing the Red Sea

Why is the Bible so special?
It is the most important book you will ever read!
It is the only detailed account of the life and teachings of Jesus.
It is God's only revelation to us...to show us that he loves us and wants us to love him.
It is the only way we can find out how to be saved from our sins.
It is reliable history and always relevant.

Luke 21:25-28
"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
The context is the destruction of the Jewish temple, and the city of Jerusalem by the Romans in A.D. 50. It would happen in the lifetime of some who were standing there.

The law provided for inheritance of the younger son in Phil. 4:8. How much was given to the younger son when he left his father's house?
Philippians 4:8 does not refer to inheritance. You must be referring to Luke 15.
The Old Testament custom was that the the oldest son would get 2 portions and all other sons would get 1 portion. If there were 10 sons there would be 11 portions and the oldest would get 2. Since there were 2 sons, the youngest would get 1/3 of the inheritance.

Here story is in Acts 9.

How do we choose between Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, the Prophets, Peter, Paul, etc. All the Bible characters are important in the plan of God.

Please provide me with information on the following Biblical characters, their historical background (genealogy) strengths or accomplishments and weaknesses.
You did not give any characters.

How could God always be living?
God is eternal...with no beginning or end.
What is the "Ask Noah" club about?
Any member of the childrensbiblestudy.com family can ask any Bible question and expect an answer within a few days.

Why doesn't God answer my prayers when I ask him what I am all about?
Maybe he is more concerned about us finding out what He is all about. I understand more when I discover that God loves me and wants me to love and serve him. And, He has a purpose for my life and wants to bless me. The more I know about God, the more I understand my purpose.
Continue to pray...and study your Bible.

What is the last chapter of the Bible?
Revelation 22

Why Jesus was a man
For this reason he (Jesus) had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted."
(Hebrews 2:17,18)
"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin."

(Hebrews 4:15)

Hebrews 11
The great chapter that shows us the way faith works in our lives.

How can you be 100% sure your going to heaven. I am a Christian, but I'm nervous.
The good news is that if I am in Christ, I am saved. As long as I am in Christ, I remain saved. If I am unsure, I do not fully understand the grace of God.
The question is: Am I in Christ?
Our Yes Test will help us determine whether we are in Christ.

Who wrote the most books in the whole entire Bible?
Moses wrote 5 books in the Old Testament. (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy)
Paul wrote 13 books in the New Testament. (Romans, I Corinthians, II Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, I Thessalonians, II Thessalonians, I Timothy, II Timothy, Titus and Philemon)

How did Jesus really resurrect?
He was crucified and buried. A large stone was rolled over the entrance to the grave and Roman soldiers guarded the grave to make sure the body of Jesus was not taken. Three days later the stone was rolled away and Jesus came out of the grave alive. God raised him from the dead.
Jesus is alive?
Can you look at angels up in the sky? My mom thinks she saw and angel.
Angels are special servants of God. In the Bible angels generally appear in human form. The only references to winged angels I know of  are in Bible prophecies. I cannot tell you what your mom saw.

I need a timeline of Jesus' life. Please not to long.
Jesus was born in Luke 2
Age 12- At the temple. (Luke 2)
Started his ministry at age 30. (Luke 3:23)
Last week of his life. (Luke 19-23)
Death and Resurrection (Luke 23,24)

A child 7 years old has confessed that Jesus is savior and has died for his sins. Is he saved?
Most children at 7 years old do not understand the concept of sin, salvation, the sacrifice of Jesus, etc., so, there is a question of whether this child has sin to be forgiven. But, we assume this child does understand.
Belief, repentance and confession are necessary, but these things alone do not save a person. We must be baptized into Christ.
We have an extensive Biblical analysis of this issue in our Berean Challenge section.

In the teen Bible class we are studying the book of Acts and it talks about a male in order to be saved had to be circumcised. My question is, what did a female Jew have to do to be saved?
Circumcision was a sign that the men in Acts 10 and 11 were part of the family of Abraham (Jews). A man did not have to be circumcised to be saved through the sacrifice of Jesus.
As far as I can tell, there was no physical requirement for women under the Mosaic Law.

What does the Bible or Jesus say about how adults and/or teachers should b treated?
"Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father."
(I Timothy 5:1)
The leaders of the church are to be treated with special honor.
"The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching."
(I Timothy 5:7)

Parents are to be honored and obeyed.
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right."

Noah and his wife had 3 sons. (Genesis 6:10)

How many days did you live.
Noah lived 950 years. You do the math.

In the Bible, was the Sabbath day Saturday or Sunday...And I love this site!
The Sabbath is in the Old Testament. It is part of the Mosaic Law. The Mosaic Law was the law of the Israelites. It did not apply to any other nation.
The Mosaic Law was fulfilled and taken away when Jesus died and made the new covenant.
(Hebrews 8:13)

How can I introduce Bible to babies?
This is out of my range of expertise, but a couple of things come to mind:
1. Sing Bible songs
2. Get a small colored Bible as a toy the baby can hold.

Who wrote the Bible?
The Bible is 66 different books written by 40 different authors over a period of about 1,500 years. Moses wrote the first book (Genesis) and John wrote the last book (Revelation) in the first century A.D.
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
(II Timothy 3:16,17)

What animal were you most scared of?
We know nothing about what happened while Noah and his family were in the ark. There is an interesting statement after Noah came out of the ark.
The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands."
(Genesis 9:2)
There may not have been the friction between men and animals before the flood.

Do you have coloring pages of the blessed trinity?

If God created man in his image, who created God? Where does God come from?
We cannot understand the eternal nature of God, because we count time in years, days, hours and minutes. God has no beginning and has no end. He was not created! We believe because of the evidence around us that demands a creator.
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities- His eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."
(Romans 1:20)

Was it hard building the ark?
The Bible tells us nothing about the actual building of the ark. We do know that a relative of Noah named Tubal-Cain made all kinds of tools out of iron and bronze...so Noah had good tools.
Another brother or cousin (Jubal) was a musician, so Noah and his family could have had music while he worked. (Genesis 4:21, 22)

I need information on Abraham please I need it!!!!!!!

Explain how the footprints in Texas existed with the dinosaurs.

Why did God "harden Pharaoh's heart" to stop him from releasing the Israelites? God  then had to kill the Egyptian babies to get Pharaoh to release the Israelites. If God can influence someone's heart, why not soften it?
We have to remember that in the Egyptian culture Pharaoh was considered a God. His heart was already hard. (Exodus 7:13,14)
We find insight into God's mind in Romans 1:24a.
"Therefore God gave them over..."
Thanks for your answer but Exodus 7:13,14 confirms that God made Pharaoh's heart hard. It does not say that Pharaoh's heart was already hard. I don't know where you got that from. God clearly intervened to stop Pharaoh releasing the Israelites and earlier explained his intentions to do so to Moses. Does the Bible explain why He does this?
Since the Bible does not tell us, it is useless to speculate with reason. We do know that God works through people to get his will done.

Any lessons about baby Moses.

   a. The earthly father of Jesus (Luke 1)

Matthew 25:1-13
The key phrase is Therefore keep watch...be ready!
"At that time that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'
Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.

'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.'
But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for us!' But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.' Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour."

Where did the devil come from?
He is an angel, created by God. He rebelled against God.

What 66 stories make up the Bible?
The Bible is 66 books, not 66 stories. The Bible is the story of God's plan to save all of us through Jesus Christ. There are hundreds of stories that are part of the overall story.

How are we punished by God if we don't obey our parents?

Dear Noah. Why do you listen to God anyway?
Who else am to listen to? Can the politician or government officials make me right with God? Do I dare listen to my own thoughts? Religious leaders tell us unbelievable things. All my friends would tell me so many things it would make me believe nothing. The design of the world and everything in it tells me it had to be made by someone. History verifies the fact that the grave of Jesus is empty...he was raised from the dead!
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities- His eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

How did Mary die?
The Bible does not tell us.

What do people need to do so they can follow God's ten commandments?
The 10 commandments were part of the Mosaic Law given to the people of Israel. The Mosaic Law did not apply to other nations. When Jesus died, the Mosaic Law was fulfilled and taken away. People today are not under the Mosaic Law.
All the principles of the 10 commandments are restated in the New New Testament except the 4th law (Sabbath). Having a day of rest (Sabbath) is a good principle, but it is not required in the New Covenant. We are to follow the good principles of 9 of the 10 commandments, but they do not make us right in the sight of God.
The only way a person can be right with God is to be in Christ Jesus. Being in Christ Jesus makes a person a Christian.

Who created God?
It is impossible for us to understand the eternal nature of God. He had no beginning and has no end. He was not created! We believe because of the evidence around us that demands a creator.
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities- His eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."
(Romans 1:20)
