I need to teach 15-17 year olds
something about Justice for all as it relates to Jesus and His
Father.
There is only one standard of Judgment...the blood of
Jesus.
"In the past God overlooked such
ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
For he has set a day when he will judge the world with
justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of
this to all men by raising him from the dead."
Political and national justice are not always God's justice, but
governments are established by God.
"Everyone
must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is
no authority except that which God has established. The
authorities that exist have been established by God.
Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling
against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring
judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who
do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free
from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he
will commend you. For he is God's servant to do you good. But if
you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for
nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring
punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to
submit to the authorities, not only because of possible
punishment but also because of conscience."
(Romans 13:1-5)
What do we do if rulers demand actions that do not agree with
God's will?
"Make every effort to live in peace with
all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the
Lord. See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no
bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many."
(Hebrews 12:14,15)
"But
Peter and John replied, 'Judge for yourselves whether it is
right in God's sight to obey you rather than God.'"
(Acts 4:19)
We do what's right...and accept the consequences.

Tell me the story of the 3 kings.
I assume you are talking about the kings that came to see Jesus.
(Matthew 2)
God prepared a star and the kings followed it to the land of

The Bible does not tell us the number of kings.
The kings actually went to a house to see the child Jesus, not
to the manger to see the baby Jesus. (Matthew 2:;11) Herod had
all two year old boy and under killed, based on what the wise
men told him.
The wise men gave gifts normally given royalty...gold, incense
and myrrh.

At least 2 of all the land animals. Those who know about these
things estimate there were from 40,000-50,000 animals on the
ark. Most of these animals are very small and it would make
sense for God to direct young animals to go into the ark. All
these animals would easily fit into the ark with plenty of room

What is the best way to teach 5th and
6th graders about the genealogy of Jesus?
1. Matthew's account starts from Abraham and goes to
Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus.
2. Matthew includes 4 women in the genealogy (Tamar, Ruth, Rahab
and Mary) This is interesting because Tamar, Ruth and Rahab were
gentile women.
3. Luke traces the genealogy of Jesus backward...from Joseph (a
descendent of King David), to Adam.
4. Have your students go through the list and write down all the
names they recognize. Have them find these characters and find

What do I need to know about fear?
Fear is dread or terror caused because I understand that someone
or something can hurt me. It is the emotion that makes me want
to run away. But, it includes respect and awe.
I fear God, because He is the God of justice and power.
He deserves more than I can give. My fear is overcome by His
love and assurance shown in the sacrifice of Jesus to cover my
sin.
I fear Satan, because he can tempt me to sin. My fear of
Satan is overcome because God has limited his power and given me
a way of escape.
I do not live in the spirit of fear!
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not
be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help
you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
(Isaiah 41:10)

you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to

I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy

Tell me about the Bible.
The Bible is actually 66 different books written by
40 different authors...over a period of about 1,600 years. The
Old Testament has 39 books and the New Testament 27 books. The
first 5 books (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and
Deuteronomy) were written by Moses, and the last book
(Revelation) was written by John. The Bible is the inspired Word
of God.
It tells the story of God's plan for man, starting with the
creation and going through the establishment, purpose and
structure of the church.

First of all, I just discovered your
website and is very informative and interesting. Thanks for
spreading the good news!! My question is regarding tithing. In
our household, we believe in the tithe (a 10th of all incoming
funds). Recently, my husband has been searching info regarding
the tithe, and he is telling me that a tithe is part of the old
covenant. Since believers are now part of the new covenant. We
are not required to obey the laws of the old covenant. I know
that Jesus said he came to fulfill the law not abolish it. My
husband feels we ought to still give, but give from our heart
not a set amount as described in the old testament. I agree with
the evidence he provided, but I still give a 10th and I'm not
for sure as to why. Any input on the tithe. Sorry for the long
email and thanks for responding.
Your husband is correct, but the tithe under the
Mosaic Law was only the beginning of the annual giving. The New
Testament emphasis is giving from the heart, because of need..
It is fine to give 10%, but it is not fine to bind a
specific amount on others.

What does it teach us.
Any of the gospel books will do, but John puts emphasis on His

The love of God and Jesus are shown.
"For God so loved the
world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

It depends on how old your children are and how much

Genesis. Teach these stories as historical facts that fit into
the plan of God.

What do you believe is the place of
Israel in the plan of God now that Jesus has come?
Jesus is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy.
God kept all the land and nation promises He had made to Israel.
(Joshua 23:14) The Old covenant was replaced by a New covenant.
"By calling this covenant "new," he has
made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will
soon disappear."
(Hebrews 8:13)
The old physical kingdom of Israel was replaced by the spiritual
kingdom (body) of Jesus.
"The body is a unit,
though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are
many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all
baptized by one Spirit
into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and
we were all given the one Spirit to drink."
The people of Israel are included in what is called the great
commission.
"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All
authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And
surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"
The resurrected Jesus, the Son of God, is the only
savior!
"Salvation
is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven
given to men by which we must be saved."
(Acts 4:12)
Kyeisha
When was Jesus really born?
The Bible does not tell us. All we know is that most of the

certain he was not born on December 25th.

As for evolution vs. creation there are
things in this world we don't understand. In modern times a day
consists of 24 hours, but when God created the world he didn't
specify that. As for God not being able to lie, I doubt that.
For me, my God could do anything.
God try, but it doesn't work.
God was specific in the creation account:
"And there was evening and there was morning the first day."
The Law of Moses was given in Exodus 20. The Sabbath was
discussed in vs. 8-11. The people were to not work, etc. on a
specific day (the last day of the week). The reason was given in
verse 11: "For in six days the Lord
made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in
them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord
blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy." The Israelites
knew God was talking about a 24-hour day.
If your God cannot lie, He is not the God of the Bible.
"God did this so that, by
two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for
God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope
offered to us may be greatly encouraged."

I know some scientists believe that the
land creatures evolved from water creatures. Could God have made
that happen? And, when did God make the dinosaurs, who lived for
thousands of years, if he created everything in only 6 days?
It is true that some sea creatures existed before land animals,
but no more than 24 hours before land animals...because they
were created on the 5th day. God made the dinosaurs along with
all the other animals...on the 6th day
God could have done anything he wanted...but he cannot lie.
He told us the world was made in 6 days. If anyone (including a
scientist) tells you it happened some other way, God is not the
one telling the lie.

Hi people! Christmas Day falls on
December 25. It is preceded by Christmas Eve on December 24, and
in some countries is followed by Boxing Day on December 26. Some
Eastern Orthodox churches celebrate Christmas on January 7,
which corresponds to December 25 on the Julian calendar.
December 25 as a birth date for Jesus is merely traditional, and
is not thought to be his actual date of birth. G''night.
Christmas Day is not in the Bible. Much of the tradition of
Christmas is not in the Bible. But, it is good that people think
of Jesus at least one season of the year.
There is actually very little said about the birth of Jesus. The
importance of Jesus is in his death, burial and resurrection.

Wow, thanks for your
fast response Noah. I can't say whether the scientific evidence
you’ve offered weakens the argument for evolution because I'm
not a biologist - I suspect, neither are you. But the folks who
are biologists - who have carefully studied ALL the evidence –
they nearly all accept Darwin's theory. By saying that they're
mistaken, and that you have new or better evidence than the
professionals in this field, I worry that you're going to drive
young people away from the Bible because yo! u lack scientific
credibility. My evidence is simply this - the people who have
devoted their professional lives to the study of how we got here
almost all think it was through evolution. Is that fact in
itself not the “reliable evidence” you ask for?
This is a response from the earlier
question from Sue. Two questions down.
Refusing to make a judgment about the evidence I presented
because you are not a biologist does not make sense. I did not
present specific evidence from biology...my evidence is from
verifiable evidence, a quote from a scientist and logic.
I do not want you to accept anything I say...without checking it
our for yourself. It sounds like you are willing to accept
whatever nearly all the scientists say...regardless of
whether it make sense. Did you read the quote from Dr. Wald?
The theory of evolution cannot be based on verifiable
science, because there is no way to prove it...and it does not
make scientific sense. Evolution has not happened in recorded
history.
If you are serious about your position, you need to go through
the evidence presented in our
creationevolution.org site and show me where the evidence is
faulty. This idea that it disagrees with nearly all the
scientist isn't enough.
If you insist on believing the theory of evolution, you have a
more difficult problem with the authenticity of the Bible than
with the authenticity of the faulty evidence for evolution.
I have made a public challenge to scientists to provide
specific proof of evolution. All the so-called evidence can
be more adequately explained through creation than evolution.
I have had emails from all over the world from folk who are glad
to get the material presented in this site. One gentleman who
studied the material decided to start teaching creation instead
of evolution in his private school.
Until you provide specific evidence that disproves the material
presented in this site, the official position of
childrensbiblestudy.com and
creationevolution.org will not be
changed.

I have been having a
strange experience when I pray at night. I am surrounded by
white moving clouds around my body and it is a very peaceful
feeling and it happens quit frequently. the other day I noticed
on the palm of my hand the mark of an ash which looks a little
like the cross. I couldn't figure where this came from because I
cant wash it off it is in my skin. My daughter saw this the
other day and told me it was an encounter with Christ. Help me
to shed some understanding on this. I am in a very spiritual
feeling at this time of my life!
I cannot speak to your dreams, etc.
Your spiritual feelings are another issue.
The challenge all of us face is the battle between spirituality
and being right with God. All religion is based on some form of
spirituality.
Peace and assurance are products of being right with God...not
spiritual feeling. We find out about being right with God
through the Word of God.
"All
Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God
may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
(II Timothy 3:16,17)
If the Bible (Scripture) thoroughly equips us,
experiences are not needed and dangerous.
Feeling good is not enough!
"For I can testify about them that they
are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge."
(Romans 10:2)z
We do know that Satan was able to do counterfeit miracles.
"The
coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of
Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and
wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are
perishing."
(II Thessalonians 2: 9,10a)
Only people who are in Christ (Christians) have the power
to resist Satan.
"Submit
yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will
flee from you."
(James 4:7)
There are 2 things you need to do:
1) Take our Yes Test
to determine whether you are in Christ.
2) Do not take any person's advice, including mine, unless it
agrees with what the Bible says. This means you will have to
study the Bible diligently.

Noah. Surely all Christian children
should be free to embrace the theory that the earth is millions
of years old, given that nearly the entire scientific community
has agreed on this for over a century. Isn’t it naïve, cowardly
and rather absurd to tell children that our great nation’s most
diligent scientists are in fact fools who don’t know what
they’re talking about on this matter? Would we not make a better
case for our faith by teaching that the two (slightly differing)
creation stories in Genesis are metaphors for God’s amazing
creation, our universe, rather than a factually accurate account
of what He did and when he did it? Thanks
This sounds reasonable. Maybe your are talking about
all the scientific community that used to think the world was
flat. Maybe you are talking about the scientific community that
says a fetus is just a blob of something.
Maybe you are talking about the scientists who say everything
started with a "big bang"...without telling us where the
gravity, electricity, water, oxygen, organic amino acids,
heating, cooling, chemical-lockups, hydrogen, carbon dioxide,
radiation, volcanic action, etc. necessary for first life came
from. How did all this no-life stuff evolve? This so-called
beginning is in every evolution book I have seen.
Maybe you are referring to the sensible statement of Dr. Wald:
"To make an organism
demands the right substances in the right proportions and in the
right arrangement. We do not think that anything more is needed-
but that is problem enough. One has only to contemplate the
magnitude of this task to concede that the spontaneous
generation of a living organism is impossible. Yet here
we are, as a result, I believe, of spontaneous generation." (The
Origin of Life, Scientific American, Sept. 1958)
Maybe you are talking about the fact that an iron pot and a
machine-made cube have been found in coal that was supposedly
300,000,000 years old.
Maybe your are talking about the evidence that dinosaur tracks
are found on the roofs of coal mine shafts. But, coal was
supposedly formed 215,000,000 years before dinosaurs came on the
scene.
Obviously, you have not studied the material in this site and
our
creationevolution.org site.
I am sure would be eager to present this evidence (and much,
much more) and expect your children to accept the unproven
theory of evolution.
Children are free to embrace anything they wish, but it is
irresponsible for us to let them believe a theory that is not
true. Surely you want to teach children what the Bible teaches
instead of a senseless theory.
Maybe the statement in Exodus 20:8-11 is a metaphor for
something. It says God created everything in 6 days.
I think I will just go ahead and make another cowardly,
absurd statement. A Christian who believes the Bible is
true cannot believe the theory of evolution.
I will entertain any reliable evidence you have that proves the
theory of evolution.

I know God loves everybody, but in
Numbers why did God show favoritism to Israel, His own people,
then the Levites and then other tribes?
Each one of us has a purpose. What seems like
favoritism is not always blessing. God chose Pharaoh for His
purposes. God decided to chose Abraham to be the father of the
Israelite nation. God chose the second twin (Jacob) to be the
one to continue the line of Abraham. This choice had nothing to
do with the goodness of Jacob. Jacob was not a good man in his
early years. God does what he wants to do...and his judgment is
always right. Hebrews 9:14,15 says: "What
then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all!
For he says to Moses, 'I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.'

The three wise kings that visited baby

All Bibles are not the same, right? Why
do they publish them?
Not all Bibles are the same. Some are translations from the
original Hebrew and Greek languages. These versions are put
together by groups of language scholars.
Some so-called Bibles are transliterations...translated from
translations.
The Bible is the most popular book every written and wear out,

In Ezekiel 23:19-20 it says, "Yet she
increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth
when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt. She
lusted after their genitals – as large as those of donkeys, and
their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions." Why
should a Bible meant for all ages and to guide people need to
include things about prostitutes, etc.?
God is not embarrassed by reality...he made it! He is
disgusted with sin. Chapter 23 is part of Ezekiel's graphic,
disgusting description of the sin of Israel.

I am saved and want to enlighten others
of the goodness of God. Do you have any suggestions on how I can
get them to come to at least a service? (I've tried numerous
times). I love your site. God bless you!
At times we misunderstand the purpose of what is called the
service...the time we come together on Sunday to worship God and
encourage each other. This time is not designed for
non-Christians. It is for the church family.
Paul tells the Corinthian church to conduct the time of worship
on Sunday in an orderly way so the body is edified...and,
if an unbeliever comes in,
he/she will not think Christians are crazy. (I Corinthians
14:23)
The first Christians met together to encourage each other to go
out and teach. Our emphasis is not the church, it is the life,
death and resurrection of Jesus.
There is nothing wrong with inviting unbelievers into our
assemblies, but think about preparing yourself to tell the good
news...as your go.
One way is to share this web site. If you do not want to use

An interesting concept of lifted is found
in I Peter 3:20b-22.
"In it only a few
people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water
symbolizes baptism that now saves you also- not the removal of
dirt from the body but the pledge
of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at
God's right hand- with angels, authorities and powers in
submission to him."

Temptations are all around us. Temptation is not sinful. Jesus
was tempted in every way like we are. (Hebrews 4:15) Following
through on temptation makes our actions sinful.
"No
temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God
is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can
bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out
so that you can stand up under it."
(I Corinthians 10:13)
You mentioned repentance. Repentance is basically the action of
changing your mind...going in a different direction. But,
repentance requires us to fill our minds with good stuff to take
the place of the bad stuff.
You will not be able to overcome serious,
consuming sin without being in Christ.

Do you have an illustration or story about freedom? Does the
Bible have any? I need it for a speech. My out line is Freedom:
I. Personal freedom (the truth will set you free) II. People's
freedom (Do what I wanna do) III. Country freedom (not under the
rule of another country). It is not very personal, but please
email me.
Your outline is simple. The Biblical answer is
simple!
1) The truth will set you free. This is spiritual freedom
that does not depend on personal or political freedom.
"To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus
said, 'If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'"
(John 8:21,32)
2) People freedom We have the right
to do whatever we want, but we must be willing to deal with the
consequences. Sometimes our actions are very dangerous. God has
set down standards that determine our actions.
"For certain men whose condemnation was
written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They
are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license
for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and
Lord."
(Jude 1:4)
We do not do some thing because they will harm others. Read I
Corinthians 8.
3) Country Freedom. The Bible does not deal with
political freedom, except the fact that God raises up nations
and takes down nations.

What is the meaning of thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving day is a time to be reminded of how blessed we are.
Our blessing does not depend on how much we have physically. God
knows exactly what we need!
"So
do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we
drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all
these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry
about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day
has enough trouble of its own."

be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing
in Christ."

Noah. What happens if u commit a sin?
It depends on whether you are a Christian or not.
If you are not a Christian one sin makes you guilty and

You are right! The New Testament pattern for giving is simple:
give when there is a need, and give generously. There is no

reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his
heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God
loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound

need, you will abound in every good work."

Mary was a virgin. (Luke 1:27)
Jesus was born in
Bethlehem...as prophesied.
"So Joseph also went up from
the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town
of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He
went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married
to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the
time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her
firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a
manger, because there was no room for them in the inn."
(Luke 2:4-7)
He is the savior. (Luke 2:11)

I want to know the story of how Mary
found out she was pregnant and the birth of Jesus.
"In the sixth month, God sent the angel
Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to
be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The
virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said,
'Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.'
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what
kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, 'Do
not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be
with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the
name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the
Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father
David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his
kingdom will never end.'
'How will this be,' Mary asked the angel, 'since I am a virgin?'
The angel answered, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the
power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to
be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your
relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who
was said to be barren is in her sixth month. For nothing is
impossible with God.'
'I am the Lord's servant,' Mary answered. 'May it be to me as
you have said.' Then the angel left her."
(Luke 1:26-38)
The birth of Jesus is in Luke 2:4-7.
The wise men came to see Jesus about 2 years later.

Who made God?
God is eternal...with no beginning or end. He was not made. We
do not have the ability to understand eternity, because our
lives are measured in time. All we can do is look around and
know the world and everything in it was created, and look at the
Bible and know that there is a purpose for everything.
"For
since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities- His
eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen,
being understood from what has been made, so that men are
without excuse."
(Romans 1:20)

"I have moved to a new town and my
children where given new bibles by the church. It wasn't until
recently I actually looked at them when my 7 year old refused to
go back to Sunday school. Well the first couple of pages had a
list of ten commandments for Children the 1. said love god more
than anybody even your mother and father his Sunday school
teacher also reiterated. Well know I have a child who wants to
be an atheist because he thinks if he loves god he can't love
his parents.
Your 7 year old seems to be very perceptive. He must
love you a lot, if he is wants to exchange a relationship with
God for a relationship with you.
It is true that we are to love God more than anything or anyone,
but our love is shown by loving others. It is not a love
one/hate the other situation. It is a love both
situation.
"If
anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar.
For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen,
cannot love God, whom he has not seen."

Am I unattractive?
Remember, God made you just like your are. The world's standard
of attractiveness is not the issue. God does not look on the
outside...he is concerned with what you can be on the inside.
"Your
beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided
hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead,
it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a
gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."

Why does Jesus say to kill disobedient
children?
The Old Testament does say to punish rebellious children who do
not honor their parents. This shows us that God is serious about
obeying and honoring parents.
Jesus did not tell us to kill disobedient children.
Why does he tell parables to confuse
the masses?
"His disciples asked him what
this parable meant. He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of
the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak
in parables, so that, 'though seeing, they may not see; though
hearing, they may not understand.'
(Luke 8:9,10)
The parables were about the coming kingdom (church) It was not
time for the masses to understand all about the kingdom. Jesus
had to explain parables to his apostles because they did not
understand.

when he left his father's house?
Philippians 4:8 does not refer to inheritance. You must be
referring to Luke 15.
The Old Testament custom was that the the oldest son would get 2
portions and all other sons would get 1 portion. If there were
10 sons there would be 11 portions and the oldest would get 2.
Since there were 2 sons, the youngest would get 1/3 of the

A child 7 years old has confessed that
Jesus is savior and has died for his sins. Is he saved?
Most children at 7 years old do not understand the concept of
sin, salvation, the sacrifice of Jesus, etc., so, there is a
question of whether this child has sin to be forgiven. But, we
assume this child does understand.
Belief, repentance and confession are necessary, but these
things alone do not save a person. We must be baptized into
Christ.
We have an extensive Biblical analysis of this issue in our
Berean
Challenge section.

In the teen Bible class we are studying
the book of Acts and it talks about a male in order to be saved
had to be circumcised. My question is, what did a female Jew
have to do to be saved?
Circumcision was a sign that the men in Acts 10 and 11 were part
of the family of Abraham (Jews). A man did not have to be
circumcised to be saved through the sacrifice of Jesus.
As far as I can tell, there was no physical requirement for
women under the Mosaic Law.

created God? Where does God come from?
We cannot
understand the eternal nature of God, because we count
time in years, days, hours and minutes. God has no beginning
and has no end. He was not
created! We believe because of the evidence around us that
demands a creator.

Why did God "harden Pharaoh's heart" to
stop him from releasing the Israelites? God then had to
kill the Egyptian babies to get Pharaoh to release the
Israelites. If God can influence someone's heart, why not soften
it?
We have to remember that in the Egyptian culture Pharaoh was
considered a God. His heart was already hard. (Exodus 7:13,14)
We find insight into God's mind in Romans 1:24a.
"Therefore God gave them over..."
Thanks for your answer but Exodus
7:13,14 confirms that God made Pharaoh's heart hard. It does not
say that Pharaoh's heart was already hard. I don't know where
you got that from. God clearly intervened to stop Pharaoh
releasing the Israelites and earlier explained his intentions to
do so to Moses. Does the Bible explain why He does this?
Thanks.
Since the Bible does not tell us, it is useless to
speculate with reason. We do know that God works through people
to get his will done.

The key phrase is Therefore keep watch...be
ready!
"At that time that time the kingdom of
heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went
out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five
were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take
any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in jars along
with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and
they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang
out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'
Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The
foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our
lamps are going out.
'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for
both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some
for yourselves.'
But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom
arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the
wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the
door for us!' But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't
know you.' Therefore keep watch, because you do not know
the day or the hour."

What do people need to do so they can
follow God's ten commandments?
The 10 commandments were part of the Mosaic Law given to
the people of Israel. The Mosaic Law did not apply to other
nations. When Jesus died, the Mosaic Law was fulfilled and taken
away. People today are not under the Mosaic Law.
All the principles of the 10 commandments are restated in the
New New Testament except the 4th law (Sabbath). Having a day of
rest (Sabbath) is a good principle, but it is not required in
the New Covenant. We are to follow the good principles of
9 of the 10 commandments, but they do not make us right in the
sight of God.
The only way a person can be right with God is to be in
Christ Jesus. Being in Christ Jesus makes a person a
Christian.

here on earth?
God wants us to love and obey him because we want to, not
because we have to. Without bad, there is no good! God wants us
to chose to trust Him.
