I need a lesson on Agape love for a
children's class.
Agape love is a central theme of the Bible. Agape love is not
the love between a husband and wife, or the relationship between
good friends. It is the genuine concern about the welfare of a
person.
I Corinthians 13 is the classic scripture about agape love. It
defines what it is and what it is not.
One concept was left out of your list- love your enemies. (Luke
6:27-35) The stories of Jesus (Luke 23:34) and Stephen (Acts
6:60) are pure examples.
Another practical application of love is found in the story of
the good Samaritan. Go to our study in Luke 10.

Galatians 5:23 self control....any
Ideas?
It is part of the fruit of the Spirit. This is an interesting
concept. According to Acts 2:38 a person gets the gift of the

not have the Spirit, can one have true self-control.

I am teaching VBS to children ages 9-12
about love: Love for God (John 3:16), Love for Parents (Luke
15:11-24), Love for friends (I Samuel 18:1-4), Love for people
of different races (Luke 10:30-37). Help me please by giving me
activities and an explanation that this age will understand.
You have an exciting, challenging subject.
I Corinthians 13 is the classic scripture about agape love. It
defines what it is and what it is not.
John 3:16 is actually a great reference for love...but it is
primarily the love of God for us. I John 3:16 defines our love
for God and others. (read through verse 20)
One concept was left out of your list- love your enemies. (Luke
6:27-35) The stories of Jesus (Luke 23:34) and Stephen (Acts
6:60) are pure examples.
Another practical application of love is found in the story of

10:13-15 in our You Asked for it! section.
"Everyone who calls on the name of the

have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of
whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone
preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent?

Explanation to give youngsters who are
struggling with the question "Is there a God?".
We cannot understand the idea of eternity...no beginning and no
end. Human language is not adequate to explain God.
We have faith because of what God has revealed...His word
(Bible) and nature.
"For
since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his
eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen,
being understood from what has been made, so that men are
without excuse."
(Romans 1:20)
"By faith we understand that the universe
was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made
out of what was visible."
(Hebrews 11:3)
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is
useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in
righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work."
(II Timothy 3:16,17)

who is at the Father's side, has made him known."

Where in the Bible Jesus tells us to
teach our children of him.
In the New Testament children are generally included with all
people.
"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All
authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
(Matthew 28:18-20)
Paul does commend Eunice and Lois for teaching Timothy.
"I
have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in
your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am
persuaded, now lives in you also. For this reason I remind you
to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the
laying on of my hands.'
(II Timothy 1:5,6)
The Bible is more specific in the Old Testament.
"Fix these words of mine in your hearts
and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on
your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them
when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you
lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of
your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of
your children may be many in the land that the Lord swore to
give your forefathers, as many as the days that the heavens are
above the earth."

Where in the Bible does it teach about
children?
Paul talks about Eunice and Lois teaching Timothy.
"I

your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am
persuaded, now lives in you also. For this reason I remind you
to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the

(II Timothy 1:5,6)
The Old Testament is plain about teaching children.
"Fix these words of mine in your hearts
and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on
your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them
when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you
lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of

I am looking for Bible study material
to teach a small group of girls ages 6-12.
What you teach depends on what your girls already know. It is
always appropriate to teach the stories of the Old Testament.
They are historical events that show us how God works in
nations and with individual characters.
"Now
these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting
our hearts on evil things as they did. Do not be idolaters, as
some of them were; as it is written: 'The people sat down to eat
and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry.' We should not
commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day
twenty-three thousand of them died. We should not test the Lord,
as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. And do not
grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying
angel.
These things happened to them as
examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom
the fulfillment of the ages has come."

Belt (righteousness)- protects vital organs.
Boots (readiness)- protects our ability to go.
Shield (faith)- deflects whatever the enemy throws at us.
Helmet (salvation)- protect the mind because of our

We do not yet have actual study guides for our
studies, but many are using the natural outlines that are
included in our material.
I do not know what your young people know, but the most
important thing to teach young people is the actual historical
facts we call Bible stories. The most important factor is
that everything historically in the Old Testament is about Jesus
coming. The first mention of this is found in the promise to Eve
after the fall. We learn faith, obedience, trust, etc. in the
stories.
Go to our
Understanding the Bible section to incorporate these
ideas.
'Before this faith came, we were held
prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might
be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no
longer under the supervision of the law. You are all sons of
God through faith in Christ Jesus,"

not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but
only what is helpful for building others up according to
their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not
grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the
day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness,
rage and anger, brawling and slander,
along with every form of malice. Be kind and
compassionate to one another, forgiving each other,
just as in Christ God forgave you.
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual

inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

II Timothy 2:3,4)
"I
beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I
expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the
standards of this world. For though we live in the world, we
do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with
are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have
divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish
arguments and every pretension that sets itself up
against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every
thought to make it obedient to Christ."
(II Corinthians 10:2-4)
"Finally,
be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the
full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the
devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and
blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against
the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces
of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full
armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may
be able to stand your ground, and after you have done
everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth
buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of
righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness
that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all
this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can
extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the
helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all
occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in
mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all
the saints."

I need a children's sermon on The Great
Commission. The scriptures we're using includes Matthew
28:16-20; I Corinthians 12:4-9 and Ephesians 4:11-16. Any
suggestions.
I Corinthians 12 is not a reference to going out to teach
the lost. It is dealing with internal problems in the
Corinthian church. They were abusing the Lord's Supper and
misusing spiritual gifts.
In Ephesians 4 Paul is reminding Christians that there
are different functions in the church. Some of the early
Christians were given the gift of evangelism. Paul, Barnabas,
Peter, Philip and Steven are examples.
Matthew 28:18-20 is the charge of Jesus to his disciples.
Evangelism is a personal expression of our love for God.
"But
thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in
Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the
knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ
among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the
fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?
(II Corinthians 2:14,15)
"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors,
as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you
on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God."
(II Corinthians 5:20)
"Those who had been scattered preached the
word wherever they went."

How can I make the verse Romans 12:4,5
easy to understand for children?
Include verse 3.
"For
by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of
yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of
yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of
faith God has given you. Just as each of us has one body
with many members, and these members do not all have the same
function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and
each member belongs to all the others."

I'm probably crazy, but Lord willing,
I'm doing a week-long kids program on Isaiah 53. Do you have any
information, activities, etc. on that section of scripture?
We have not done anything on Isaiah yet, but this is such a rich
chapter that you should not have trouble filling your program.
I do not know how much time you have, but my friends at the SIBI
Extension School have an excellent study of Isaiah that would be
helpful.

I need Bible school lessons on the
shield of faith for ages (0-18). Can you help?
I am assuming you mean 0-18 months. Otherwise you are asking
something that cannot be handle in this forum. I don't think the
shield of faith is something young children will understand, so
the best thing to do is just use the theme of protection...with
very simple examples like a backstop that protects one from
flying balls, etc.

Can you tell me why Jesus performed
miracles? I have two thoughts already: the first is to show that
he could forgive sins, the second was that he was the Son of
God, but I need a third. Thanks!
Your reasoning is good.
"Do
not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do it,
even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles,
that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I
in the Father."
(John 10:37,38)
"Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of
Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles,
wonders and signs, which God did among you through him,
as you yourselves know."
(Acts 2:22)
"Some men came, bringing
to him a paralytic, carried by four of them. Since they could
not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening
in the roof above Jesus and, after digging through it, lowered
the mat the paralyzed man was lying on.
5When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic,
'Son, your sins are forgiven.'
Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to
themselves, 'Why does this fellow talk like that? He's
blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?'
Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they
were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, 'Why are you
thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to the paralytic,
'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, take your mat and
walk'? 'But that
you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to
forgive sins...' He said to the paralytic, 'I tell you, get
up, take your mat and go home.' He got up, took his mat and
walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and
they praised God, saying, 'We have never seen anything like
this!'"
(Mark 2:3-11)
Your 3rd reason would be His compassion.
"Jesus had compassion on them and
touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and
followed him."
(Matthew 20:34)

How do I teach the Lord's prayer?
The key is in Matthew 6:10. "on earth as
it is in heaven". God has always ruled and blessed
His faithful people. Now, we understand more clearly through the
church (kingdom).
"Now to him who is able to establish you
by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to
the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past,
but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings
by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might
believe and obey him- to the only wise God be glory forever
through Jesus Christ! Amen."

I will be teaching children's church
3rd-5th grade for the first time and have to teach on
stewardship along with Matthew 23:37 and I need some fun ideas.
This scripture is showing the results of bad stewardship. The
question seems to be: What will you do with the talents and
possessions you have?
It might be good to set up situations for your students. Divide
up in teams and ask them questions like...What would you do
if someone gave you $1,000. Then ask the teams to
search the New Testament and find out about possessions
and giving. Each member of the team would have to decide what
he/she would do personally.

Lesson's on Spiritual gifts/talents.
We are talking about four different things here. All of them
are God-given. How we use them is determined by our
perspective.
1. Talents like art, music, writing, athletic ability, etc. In
Exodus 31, Bezalel and Oholiab were given special artist gifts.
2.
Spiritual gifts given to the apostles. These gifts
were passed on to others only by the laying on of hands of the
apostles. (healing, prophesy, tongues, etc.)
3. Talents of helping, wisdom, faith, etc.
4.
Fruit of the spirit.

Could you list some scripture that deal
with obedience, other than Noah?
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord,
Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does
the will of my Father who is in heaven."
(Matthew 7:21)
"Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he
will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we
will come to him and make our home with him."
(John 14:23)
"When the people heard
this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other
apostles, 'Brothers, what shall we do?'
Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the
name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you
will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'"
(Acts 2:37,38)
"Peter
and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than
men! The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead—whom you
had killed by hanging him on a tree."
(Acts 5:29,30)
"But thanks be to God that, though you
used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form
of teaching to which you were entrusted."
(Romans 6:17)
"This is how we know that we love the
children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.
This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands
are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the
world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our
faith."

Acts 6:1-7
"In those days when the
number of disciples was increasing, the Grecian Jews among them
complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were
being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. So the
Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, 'It would
not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God
in order to wait on tables. Brothers, choose seven men from
among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We
will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our
attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.'
This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man
full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus,
Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to
Judaism. They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed
and laid their hands on them.
So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem
increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient
to the faith."
This is a powerful example of when there
is trouble, take action and solve the problem. It is also a
great example of leadership. The Apostles knew that if they got
involved in the day-to-day situations, the work of prayer and
teaching would be neglected. They also knew that there were good
men in the church that could do the job well.
These seven men were probably the first deacons (servants) in
the church.

Tell me the meaning of royal child,
characteristics, benefits.
If you are talking about the child of God, the meaning is
simple.
Because we are children of God we live our lives like he wants

in any circumstance, his discipline to make us stronger, his
blessings to provide what we need and the assurance of living
with him through eternity.

Can you please help me understand I
Timothy 2:9-15?
"I also want women to dress modestly, with
decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls
or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women
who profess to worship God."
Women are to dress modestly. Modesty is dressing in such a way
as not to attract attention to themselves...including sexuality.
Braided hair and gold was to show wealth and position. In the
church all are equal regardless of the wealth or position.
"A woman should learn in quietness and
full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have
authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed
first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the
woman who was deceived and became a sinner."
This concept is very unpopular in our modern world, but it has
nothing to do with a man being better than a woman. It is the
different roles that God has assigned for men and women.
"But women will be saved through
childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with
propriety."
Childbearing is a reference to the duties of motherhood.

What is the fellowship of believers in
the book of Acts?
All those who learned about Jesus and were baptized into the
church.
"Peter
replied, 'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name
of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and
your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord
our God will call.'
With many other
words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, 'Save yourselves
from this corrupt generation.'
Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three
thousand were added to their number that day.
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the
fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone
was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were
done by the apostles.
All the believers were together and had everything in
common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone
as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the
temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together
with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the
favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number
daily those who were being saved"

What are some Bible stories about inner
beauty?
Very seldom do the Bible writers mention the physical beauty of
women. Sarah and Esther are exceptions. Although both of these
women were beautiful, their beauty had nothing to do with their
inner beauty.
"Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so
that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won
over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see
the purity and reverence of your lives. Your beauty should not
come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the
wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be
that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and
quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
(I Peter 3:1-4)

or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women

Explain Ephesians 6:14-18.
"Stand firm then, with the belt of
truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of
righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the
readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition
to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you
can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the
helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions
with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be
alert and always keep on praying for all the saints."
The explanation is in the key words.
Satan wants to destroy us. God has supplied everything we need
to defeat Satan. As good soldiers we are to always be alert and
stand against him.
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by
such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off
everything that hinders and the sin that so easily

I need a Bible study for 4th-6th
graders on self discipline or self control. Can you help me?
Self-control is a gift from God.
"For
God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of
power, of love and of self-discipline."
(II Timothy 1:7-9)
Self-control is based on our obedience and trust in God. It is a
conscious decision!
"For we know that since Christ was raised
from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery
over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but
the life he lives, he lives to God.
In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but
alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin
reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil
desires."
(Romans 6:9-12)
(Study Ephesians 4:22-5:7)
Controlling the tongue is part of self-control. (James 3:3-12)
Self-control is part of a process.
"For
this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith
goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge,
self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to
perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness, love."
(II Peter 1:5-7)

Will you please help me study Hebrews
12:1-6?
"Therefore,
since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let
us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily
entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out
for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter
of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross,
scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne
of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful
men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the
point of shedding your blood. And you have forgotten that word
of encouragement that addresses you as sons: 'My son, do not
make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when
he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and
he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.'"
This is based on the examples of faith in
chapter 11.
It is an encouragement to get rid of two things that hinder our
faith...things that hinder (cares of the world), and sin. As we
focus on Jesus we realize that because he suffered...we will be
honored to suffer. (John 15:18-21)
Discipline is part of the perfecting that comes from a loving
father, who wants the best for us.

I have to speak on meekness.
Meekness is not weakness. Meekness is demonstrated when a person
has the power to do something and refuses to use it because it
is not useful.
Study the life of Moses. He was considered the meekest man
living in his time.
Jesus is the great example.
He used his power to heal others, but would not use it to save
himself.
He drove out the money-changers because they were abusing the
house of God, but did not use his ability to call down angels to
defend himself.

I am looking for class ideas for ages
2-4 about faith, the Bible, sharing and so on.
I learned, and am still learning, these things by studying the
Bible stories. Children love exciting Bible stories, like Noah,
Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, etc. Teach them with enthusiasm
and talk about faith sharing etc. as a natural part of the
stories.

How do you explain "all have sinned" to
young children on a bus?
It depends on the age of the children. If you are in a
bus-ministry, many of your children will not know much, so I
suggest you explain it in a simple statement like "We all do
things wrong".
Remember Romans 3:22-24 is written in the context of the church.
This concept is often difficult for adults to understand.
"This righteousness from God comes through
faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no
difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God, and are justified freely by his grace through the
redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

I am teaching 7-10 year olds that
meekness is not weakness but strength under control. I need some
ideas. They are very bright and put you to the test. Thank you!
The Biblical examples of meekness are based on the power of God
working...not personal strength.
Moses was said to be the meekest man of his time (Exodus
12:3), but he stood against Pharaoh, the strongest ruler of his
time. (Exodus 6-11)
Jesus had the power to do whatever he wanted. He did
not...because he had a purpose.
"Do you think I cannot call on my Father,
and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions
of angels?"
(Matthew 26:53)
What could one angel do?
"That night the angel of the Lord went out
and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men
in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning-
there were all the dead bodies!"
(II kings 19:35)
Philippians 2:5-11 shows what kind of power Jesus could have
used. He was God!

I am looking
for some scriptures and a way to encourage my 7 and 11 year old
to want to be baptized.
Teach them who Jesus is and why he was crucified.
Make sure baptism is part of the lesson, but do not put undue
emphasis on baptism. Many young people are baptized because
their friends are being baptized.
Go to our
Jesus the only savior section and baptism is covered.
It would be good to have them take the
Yes test.

I am interested in teaching children
how to put on the whole armor of God. Sorry, this question has
already been answered for me.
Here it is again.
The purpose of the armor is found in Ephesians 6:10-13.
Each piece of the armor has a protective function. (verse
14-18)
Belt (righteousness)- protects vital organs.
Boots (readiness)- protects our ability to go.
Shield (faith)- deflects whatever the enemy throws at us.
Helmet (salvation)- protect the mind because of our assurance.
The sword of the Spirit is our offensive weapon (the word
of God)- The power.
Prayer is both offensive and defensive.
Be alert!
Make a set of armor out of cardboard or some other material and
demonstrate the armor. It does not make any difference if it is
realistic or not...just demonstrate the principles.

I am teaching 1st and 2nd graders and
our class is struggling with listening to each other and to the
teacher and being nice to one another. I was thinking of
teaching them about self-control. How else can I teach them to
listen and behave and have fun at the same time.
The goal is to challenge young people, not to make sure they
have fun. Fun is good, and should be part of the class, but fun
is visiting with friends and acting silly.
Since you only have these children for a few minutes in their
week, it is difficult to have a significant impact on
self-control without some form of gentle forced-control.
If possible, get a co-teacher. If it is not practical, have some
of your student's parents sit in on your classes from time to
time.
Since kids love stories and activities include corporate and
individual challenges in your class.

Teaching children about Mark 8:31-38.
1. Start with the fact that the purpose of Jesus was to die.
Philippians 2:6-11; Luke 22:37; II Corinthians 8:9 and I Peter

2. The death of Jesus was prophesied.
Isaiah 53:3 (John 1:11); Zechariah 9:9 (John 12:13,14);
Zechariah 11:12 (Matthew 26:15) Psalms 16:10 (Matthew 28:9);

Need an 8th grade real life story
relating to Romans 5:19.
"For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many
were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man
the many will be made righteous."
The best real life story is the context...Adam and Jesus.
Adam's problem was not what he knew...it was the choice he made.
He knew the fruit of the tree of Knowledge was not to be eaten.
He did it anyway! There is one point that is not mentioned much.
When Adam and Eve were banned from the Garden, they no long
had access to the tree of life. Without it, they
died!
Jesus knew his purpose in life was to die. His choice was
to die. The explanation is in the next few verses (Romans 6).
Through Jesus we have new life.
Romans 6:3,4 explains our tree of life...Jesus.
"Or don't you know that all of us who were
baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his
death? We were therefore buried with him through
baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was
raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too
may live a new life."
The Bible is our tree of knowledge!

Should we investigate the Word of God?
Yes! The Bible is God's message to all people. We need to listen
to what others have to say, but our faith in God is not built on
what others tell us, it is built on proving things for
ourselves.
"Now
the Bereans were of more noble character than the

eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if
what Paul said was true."

Need help explaining scripture II
Timothy 3:10-13.
"You, however, know all about my
teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love,
endurance, persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things
happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions
I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. In fact, everyone
who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be
persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to
worse, deceiving and being deceived."
The issue is persecution and suffering. It has been part
of the Christian experience since Jesus was killed and
resurrected.

I am going to teach 6-14 years old
girls about holiness. Where do I begin?
Holiness is simply being separated to God...for His purpose.
A good place to start is in Romans 12:1-2.
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in
view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living
sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your
spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to
the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing
of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what
God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
Transformation is not possible without the the Spirit
living within us. (This is not a discussion of the gifts of
the Spirit.)
"You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but
by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone
does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to
Christ."
"Romans 8:9)
The Spirit is the source of transformation and holiness.
"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's
glory, are being transformed into his likeness with
ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the
Spirit."
(II Corinthians 3:18)
How do we know what to do?
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is
useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in
righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work."

Matthew 10:32-40
"Whoever acknowledges me
before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in
heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him
before my Father in heaven.
Do not suppose that I have
come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace,
but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a
daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her
mother-in-law- a man's enemies will be the members of his own
household.
Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not
worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than
me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his
cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life
will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find
it.
He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives
the one who sent me."
Jesus quotes Micah 7:6 which is a comment
about the unfaithful. Jesus is dealing with people who
acknowledge Him and do not acknowledge Him...and total devotion
to Him. Notice three key words "more
than me".

I need Bible lessons on anger for
children...helping them cope with frustrating situations. (ages
8-19)
Anger is not a sin.
"In your anger do not sin:
Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not
give the devil a foothold."
(Ephesians 4:26)
"But now you must rid yourselves of
all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander,
and filthy language from your lips."
(Colossians 3:8)
"If the world hates you, keep in mind
that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would
love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world,
but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world
hates you."
(John 15:18,19)
"Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens
and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires,
which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the
pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may
see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits
us."
(I Peter 2:11,12)
"My
dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to
listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,
for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God
desires.
(James 1:19)
Fill life with fruit of the Spirit.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no
law."

which is the first commandment with a promise..."
(Ephesians 6:2)
"Do you best (study) to present
yourselves to God as one approved, a workman who does not need
to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."
(II Timothy 2:15)
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord,

the will of my Father who is in heaven."

I want to do something about footprints

Take some regular pieces of construction paper and have the

"Ask and it will be given

This is a great blessing for those who are looking for

"And I will do whatever you ask in
my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the
Father."

Hello! I am a 16 year old that is
starting a Bible group of kids ages between 7-13 and I need some
scriptures for how the Lord has been a shepherd to his people.
Thank you and God bless.
This is a wonderful thing you are doing, but it is
very difficult for experienced teachers to teach such a wide
span of ages. The younger students get restless because they do
not fully understand and the older students get bored in the
material is not taught on their level. You approach the two
levels in different ways.
I recommend you decide to teach the younger (7, 8 year olds) or
the older group. You might find another person to take one or
the other.
Let me know what you think is best.

Hello. I'm giving Sunday School to
children 8-12 and need some scriptures on "How to Beautify
your soul". Thanks a lot! God bless you.
The first thing that comes to mind is not so much how
we act, but what we give. The first gift is found in Romans
12:1,2.
"Therefore, I urge you,
brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living
sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual
act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you

pleasing and perfect will."
Galatians 5:19-26 gives us a list of things to avoid
(fruits of the flesh) and to develop in our lives (fruit of the
Spirit). It is important to note that the list mentioned is the
fruit that comes from the Spirit. This is not a discussion of
Special Spiritual Gifts.
Go to our Fruit

Young people need to learn to exercise. We exercise to make our

test themselves against themselves.

Self-discipline?
Discipline and testing are needed to prove our
love and complete trust...in any situation.
"In your struggle against sin, you
have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And
you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you
as sons: 'My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord
disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts
as a son.'"
(I Corinthians 12:4-6)
Self-discipline is our response to God's discipline.
"Be self-controlled and alert. Your
enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for
someone to devour."
(I Peter 5:8)
"Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist
the devil, and he will flee from you."
(James 4:5)
"This is how we know who the children
of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who
does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is
anyone who does not love his brother."
(I John 3:10)

I am a new teacher and I teach
preschool-4th grade. Do you have any study materials for my
class and myself?
You have a difficult situation...combining non-readers and
readers. If you study at the level of the non-readers you lose
the readers. So you have to teach at the level of your readers.
The book of Genesis is always a good place to start. There are
many good stories in Genesis.
Let your older students help you by studying the material in our
study of Genesis
and telling the younger students the stories. If they
have computers, they can actually use some of the animation and
activities.

How do I teach 4-6 year olds about
taking the Lord's Supper?
Be as simple as possible. Start with Jesus establishing the
Lord's Supper? (Luke 22:14-22) It is a simple, personal way for
believers to remember the sacrifice of Jesus.
Three important facts:
1. It is personal for believers. Another person cannot do
it for you.
2. It is done to remember the death (sacrifice) of Jesus
3. The bread represents the sacrifice of the body of Jesus. The
grape juice represents the blood of Jesus.

I am teaching the 4-5 year old class at
church the next two Sunday nights. We rotate teachers every 2
weeks and have decided to start at Genesis and work our way
through the Bible. My first two classes I have to teach on
Leviticus. This seems to be a book that is too much for such a
young crowd. Do you have any suggestions on what to teach on
this book to that age group?
My favorite way to teach young children is to make
sure they understand the stories of the Bible. If they
know the facts, when they get older the applications make
sense.
Leviticus is basically what God says about
sacrifices. The most famous story in this book is found in the
first 2 verses in chapter ten. Nadab and Abihu were burned
because they used unauthorized fire in the sacrifices.
In my opinion, it might be good to just say this book
tells us about Old Testament sacrifices...and go to the book of
Numbers (starting at chapter 11). Chapter 11 starts giving more
details about the wilderness travels.

We are working on traditional curriculum, but do not have any

activities in Bible classes. (Genesis, Exodus, Joshua and Luke)
Our topical study of the church makes a good Bible class study.

How would I go about selling the four
gospels to young people? What approach should I take? What would
you suggest I do to make them interested in such a topic?
Teaching is not a matter of salesmanship. The power is
in the word, not the teacher. The gospel books tell
basically the same truths, from different perspectives. Matthew
was written so the Jews could understand more easily. Mark is
the shortest and most precise gospel. Luke is written to
persuade a Roman official. John emphasized the power and
compassion of God. Chose one for your study.
You can go through our study
of Luke which breaks the
book into natural section which makes the study
understandable...and provides self-testing through games, etc..

I teach every Wednesday at my church.
Last week the new preacher came in when some of the kids
including some of my best friends were being disrespectful and
he thought it was my fault. It was cleared up. If you could
though, I would like some scriptures on respect and maybe how
God wants us to worship because I know it doesn't include
throwing a little boy around and playing pool, while everyone is
trying to pray. I'm only 15, but I want to do right and I need
some help. Thanks.
You are to be commended for your desire to teach and do the
right thing. It is generally not wise to have a teenager
teaching other teenagers without adult supervision. The actions
of your new minister is another matter.
We are to have great respect for God. The word reverence is
used, which means to humble ourselves in the presence of God.
Reverence includes healthy fear because we know the love and
wrath of God. Fortunately, God has provided a way to calm His
wrath in the Sacrifice of Jesus.
"Since we have these promises, dear
friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that
contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence
for God."
(II Corinthians 7:1)
The word holy means to be set apart or separated for
God's purpose.
"Therefore, since we are receiving a
kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so
worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our 'God is a
consuming fire.'"
(Hebrews 12:28,29)
"For God did not call us to be
impure, but to live a holy life."
(I Thessalonians 4:7)
"But you are a chosen people, a royal
priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God,
that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of
darkness into his wonderful light."
(I Peter 2:9)
Although a building itself is not holy, it is made holy when
believers gather to worship and praise God. Any place is made
holy when we worship. Go to our worship
section which is part of our study of how to conduct ourselves
in the church. It would be good to study all of our church
section to learn what God thinks about the spiritual body of
Jesus on earth.
It is good to praise God by enjoying time with our family and
friends...but God always comes first.

I was wondering if you have any stories
from II Samuel the I could teach to 1st and 2nd graders?
We are going through the bible, but have not yet reached the

I am teaching a lesson on wandering 40
years in the wilderness. I am trying to find some creative ideas
on how to present this lesson to K-14th graders. Any ideas?
Thanks.
The reason God brought the Israelites out of Egypt is found it
Exodus 2:23-25.
"During that long period, the king of
Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried
out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to
God. God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant
with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. So God looked on
the Israelites and was concerned about them."
The wandering was punishment for the Israelite's lack of faith
and disobedience. Not one man over the age of 20 would go into
the promised land. (Numbers 13 and 14) The wandering highlighted
the love and patience of God...because the Israelites were
constantly sinful and rebellious.

Could you please give me some suggestions on teaching third and fourth graders about King Saul which we will be studying I Samuel 18:8-16, 19:9,10 and 20:1-34. Any help would be very helpful. I'm at a standstill. Our topic will be Real Life. I want to talk about dealing with my feelings in ways that please God.
At first Saul was faithful to God. He began thinking too highly of himself and God rejected him as king. (I Samuel 15:26) In 1 Samuel 16:16, the Spirt of God left Saul. From that point on Saul became a wicked, jealous king who wanted to kill David.
In I Samuel 19, the Spirit of God was absent so an evil spirit entered Saul and in a fit or rage and jealousy Saul tried to kill David.
In chapter 20 Saul's rage became a part of the friendship between David and Jonathan. Jonathan helped David escape the wrath of Saul.
Without the Spirit of God, people do strange and dangerous things.
Please explain Proverbs 15:1: "A gentle answer turns away anger, but a harsh word stirs up wrath."
When one is in a tense situation, it is always best to react
calmly. Harsh, angry words just make things worse.

Our church does not provide Sunday
School. I would like to teach my children at home. How can I
best use your site as a resource for this? In other words, where
do I begin? Thank you!
I do not know the age of your children or how much they
know.
If they are familiar with the Old Testament, it would be good to
start with our study of the book of Luke. Each chapter is broken
up into several sections. Take one section and work through the
study systematically...on a daily basis. Use the puzzles and
other resources to test their learning.
If your children do not know the Old Testament stories, start
with the book of Genesis and follow the same plan. Genesis is an
exciting book that provides the basis for God's creation and
plan for us.
Contact me at cvalentine@childrensbiblestudy.com.
I will provide additional suggestions.

What is the best way to teach first
through fifth graders about communion? Do you believe that they
should be saved and baptized before they do. Thanks.
Go to our Lord's
Supper section.
The Lord's supper is provided for Christians, so we can remember
the sacrifice of Jesus every week. In I Corinthians 11:27-29,
Paul makes it clear there must be understanding and commitment
to Jesus.

I will be teaching prosperity to children 4-12 years of age. Are their relevant verses in the Bible?
This is a difficult task for such a wide age span.
Prosperity means a lot of different things to believers. Some
teach the prosperity gospel which tells us that if we believe, God will make us rich in worldly things.
This is not true!
Here are just a few things to consider.
1. Prosperity is from God! We do not understand why God makes some wealthy and some not-so-wealthy.
I Samuel 2:7
Ecclesiastes 5:19
2. Prosperity is not a test of faithfulness.
Psalms 37:35,36
3. Prosperity is dangerous
Matthew 19:16-29
Mark 4:19
I Timothy 6:9-19
4. We work so that we can take care of our families
and help others.
Ephesians 4:28
I Thessalonians 4:11,12
II Thessalonians 3:10-13
5. Don't worry, God will provide what we need...when we seek the kingdom!
Matthew 6:25-34

How to teach children about
stewardship?
Stewardship is a fancy name for taking caring of what God has
given. The best singular example of the teaching of Jesus is the
parable of the talents found in Matthew 25. The
application is easy to understand. God is not concerned about
how much we have...he is concerned with how we use what we have.
Giving is a very important part of the stewardship issue. God
does promise that he will reward believers for generous giving,
but the emphasis is not the personal reward...it is on the
privilege of abounding in good works.
"And now, brothers, we want you to
know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches.
Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and
their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I
testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even
beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently
pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this
service to the saints."
(II Corinthians 8:1-4)
"And God is able to make all
grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times,
having all that you need, you will abound in every
good work."
(II Corinthians 9:8)

How can I teach a child about baptism?
The word baptize means to be immersed...completely covered.
Baptism is part of the gospel. (Acts 8:26-40)
Baptism is only for believers. (Mark 16:15,16)
Baptism is a necessary part of the conversion process. (Acts
2:38)
Baptism is the point where our sins are washed away. (Acts
22:16)
Baptism is calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22:16)
Baptism is the point when we are saved. (I Peter 3:20, 21)
We are baptized into Christ. (Romans 6:3,4)
For specific Bible references, to to The
only savior
To see how it is done, go to baptism.

I am a teacher. I have been asked to do
the following "conclude the unit of work by creating a
family tree for Abraham and his descendants for a timeline to
put the characters into chronological order." I am finding
it hard to make this simple enough for my 8 and 9 year old
children. Any advice.
This would be an exhausting task. The whole Israelite nation is
part of Abraham's family tree. After the 12 tribes of Israel,
specific genealogy does not seem to be very important...except
the family of Jesus. Go to Matthew 1 and Luke 3 for the genealogy
that is important to the Holy Spirit.

How to teach young children about the
faithfulness of Paul.
When Paul found out who Jesus was, he gave up everything for
follow Jesus. His attitude is found in his letters.
"And we know that in all things God
works for the good of those who love him, who have been called
according to his purpose."
(Romans 8:28)
"I have been crucified with Christ
and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in
the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and
gave himself for me."
(Galatians 2:20)
"What is more, I consider everything
a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ
Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider
them rubbish, that I may gain Christ."
(Philippians 3:8)
Read I Corinthians 9.

I am going to be doing a Bible lesson
with 8-10 year olds. We are doing different Bible occupations
each Sunday. We will be doing a metalsmith. Can you give me any
info relating to our purification (by God) to the purifying of
gold. Any verses. Thanks and God bless.
"In this you greatly
rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to
suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that
your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even
though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in
praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though
you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not
see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an
inexpressible and glorious joy,

How can I teach my Sunday school
children about Abram and Sarai?
There is no better way than to read and comment on the actual
text. (Genesis 12) There are brief stories about Sarah like in
Genesis 18, but the rest of the story is mostly about Abraham.

I give Sunday school classes to kids
from 6-12 years old and every week I have to talk about a
different fruit of the Spirit, but I'm only 13, so I don't know
much about goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Can you help me please?
Most adults do not know about these things! Since you have been
assigned the responsibility of teaching, the best thing I can do
is help you get the tools you need to do the job right. You may
have some of these resources in your church library.
1. You need to use an easy to understand Bible. The New
International, New American Standard and some other translations
are good. Be very careful with the modern versions. Most of them
are not translations, they are transliterations (opinions about
what the Bible says).
2. You need a concordance. Young's Analytical Concordance of
the Bible is good. There are other good concordances. A
concordance just gives you a list of the verses that include a
specific Bible word. Biblegateway.com
is an on-line Bible Concordance.
3. You need a good Bible dictionary. A Greek/English dictionary
like Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words
would be good.
This will help:
Goodness- The idea of living like God...having the
characteristics of God.
Faithfulness- This is not just believing...it is the idea of
trusting God and obeying what he says.
Gentleness- Fair, kind, moderate, patient, forebearing (holding
back or delaying punishment).
Self-control- Disciplined

Can you tell me where to find
some good lessons that will encourage children (ages 8-11) to
get into the Bible?
The best way I know is to study the stories of the Bible.
Start with the Old Testament stories. Always work directly from
the Bible. Do not rely on what others say about the Bible
stories.
"For everything
that was written in the past was written to teach us, so
that through endurance and the encouragement of the
Scriptures we might have hope."
(Romans 15:4)
"These things happened to them as
examples and were written down as warnings for us, on
whom the fulfillment of the ages has come."
(I Corinthians 10:11)

Ideas on explaining Leviticus 1:1-13 to
children.
This is bloody and gory, but it is a sacrifice for sin...and sin
is ugly. Animal sacrifices were part of Bible history since the
beginning. Cain's sacrifice was not pleasing to God. (Genesis 4)
The Bible does not say whether it was what he offered, or how he
offered the sacrifice that God did not like. God has
always told his people how to sacrifice. What he does is his
business.
Old testament sacrifices were God's way of showing the people
that sin was so bad that a sacrifice of blood was necessary for
purification. But the blood of animals was not sufficient.
If you will study Hebrews 8 and 9, it will give you insight into
the difference between the sacrifice of animals and the
sacrifice of Jesus.
This is a deep subject that most younger children will not
understand...and many adults do not understand.

I need a children's story based on
Genesis 24:34-38.
This is the story of the selection of a wife for Isaac. Abraham
did not want Isaac to have a wife from the Canaanites. I cannot
provide a better story than the actual text.
A children's story based on Matthew
11:16-19 or 11:25-28.
This is a contrast between what the world offers and
what Jesus offers. I do not know what age you are teaching, but
the story is in the text...selfish children expecting others to
do what they ask, and innocent children who understand the
message of peace and help.

I need some information about obedience
for children ages 5-12.
Obedience is an important theme through the whole Bible, but
only two will make the case.
"Not everyone who ways to me, 'Lord,
Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does
the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on
that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in
your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I
will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you
evildoers!'"
(Matthew 7:21-24)
"Then Peter and the other apostles
answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than
men."
(Acts 5:29)
"Children, obey your parents in
the Lord, for this is right."
(Ephesians 6:1)

Our purpose is to provide material for educating
young people. We have games, puzzles, tests, animation
downloads, resources and suggestions. You may use any of this
material. If you have access to computers in your teaching, it
would be good to study through the book of Luke. By the time you
finish the book of Luke, we will be well into our book of Acts
study.
I have contacted a friend who works in Indonesia. If he is close
to your city, I will send you his email address and you can
contact him. I will not give him your email address.

I was recently asked to teach a Bible
study class to 8 and 9 year olds. This is my first time
teaching. What is the first step?
Be Prepared!
Faithfully pray for wisdom.
Ask a friend to help you. If you have a large group, ask more
than one friend to help.
Know your material well. Have more material prepared than you
have time to teach. Start with the most important issues.
Break your lesson up in 10 minute segments.
Use as many visuals as possible. The attention span at this age
is short.
Don't get frustrated. Expect youngsters to be youngster.

I was asked to do a children's Bible
study at a church plant I am helping out in and I don't know
what to do.
It depends on the ages of the children. If they are middle
school children it would be good to show them what the Bible is
all about...in a condensed version. It is a collection of 66
books written over 1,500 to 1,600 years. It is divided into two
major sections, the Old and New Testament, etc. When Jesus died,
the Old Testament was taken away and the sacrifice of Jesus was
the way to salvation.
"Salvation is found in no one else,
for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we
must be saved."
(Acts 4:12)
You can show them the Bible is the story of the coming of Jesus
to save the world...starting from Genesis (3:15) and ending with
the birth and life of Jesus.
Simplify the ideas found in our Understanding
the Bible section.

I need a Bible lesson on hearing the
Lord.
"For there is no difference between
Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly
blesses all who call on him, for, 'Everyone who calls on the
name of the Lord will be saved'. How, then, can they call on the
one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the
one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without
someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they
are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those
who bring good news!'"
(Romans 10:12-14)
"Not everyone who ways to me, 'Lord,
Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does
the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on
that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in
your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I
will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you

Hi! I am a mother interested in
teaching 8-10 yr. olds about the bible. I know a good deal about
the good book and am having trouble relating it to children at
their level. I don't want to frighten or confuse them. My
husband told me to find a teaching site for kids. The ones I am
trying to teach were orphans-they now have family and I think
that family begins and ends in the word. I would really
appreciate any info/assistance you could provide. Thank you
soooo much! :)
You are right in your assessments! I thank and
appreciate you for providing a stable situation for homeless

We understand that Bible study is a serious matter, but our
emphasis is to make Bible study interesting for young people. We
work very hard to teach Bible facts not opinion. The Bible is
good news! Even the bad things in the Bible are told in the
context of the overall good news of the plan of God to save the
world.
The foundation of childrensbiblestudy.com is actual Bible texts.
We started with Genesis and have worked through the book of
Joshua in the Old Testament. In our New Testament studies, we
have finished the book of Luke and plan to have the book of Acts

understand the Bible.
Your children can ask any Bible question...and expect an answer
