Ruth

A glimpse of God's purpose in history.

Introduction

Ruth lived during the time of the judges.

Her life is important because she was one of only three women included
in the lineage of Jesus in the first chapter of Matthew. Tamar was not from the chosen people of Israel. The only other woman listed is Mary, the
mother of Jesus.
