Concept
God is all-powerful!
God controls nature! Bible Lesson Creation (Genesis 1)
Application God is in
control of the world around me.
God made everything I see in nature.
Suggested Activities
1. Make binoculars out of two empty toilet paper rolls. Glue or tape
together. Punch holes on outside edges of each with a hole puncher and
attach a length of yarn to hang them around the neck. Decorate with
markers, stickers, or other art supplies.
2. Go on a little nature walk to see things that God created. Collect
souvenirs to glue to a poster board to make a collage when you return
to the room. Label the collage, "God created the world!"
3. Play charades. You act like a particular animal,
and have the children guess which animal you are. Let the children
take turns choosing and acting out animals.
4. Give each child a small square of blue paper
and a small square of black paper. Let him or her put a sun sticker on
the blue paper and stars and a moon on the black paper. Then have him
or her glue the two papers back to back to represent day and night.
5. Be sure to ask many times, "Who made
____?" And let the children answer "God Did!" together in a loud
voice.
Memory
"God
created the heavens and the earth."
