|
1. Write the memory verse on the
chalkboard. Say it together several times. Then erase one word at a
time and have the children say the verse remembering the erased word
or words. |
|
2.
Make memory verse strips. Let children cut them apart, and then put
them back together in the correct order. |
|
3.
Make simple illustrations to help children remember parts of the verse
or particular words in the verse. Hold up the illustrations to help
the children say the verse from memory. |
|
4.
Make up actions to go with the verse, and teach them to the children.
Let the children help you make up actions. |
|
5.
Make up a song using the verse, and teach it to the children. |
|
6.
Play hangman to introduce the verse. |
|
7.
Write the memory verse on a poster board. Let the children trace the
letters with glue and cover with glitter. Or write hollow block
letters and let the children color or paint. |
|
8.
Have the children write the memory verse nicely on a piece of white
paper and frame it with a colorful construction paper frame. |
|
9.
Play hot potato with bean bag. Whoever gets caught with the potato
must repeat the verse after the teacher. Or play Duck, Duck, Goose or
Spin the Bottle the same way. |
|
10.
Have the children say the memory verse very loudly, very quietly, in a
high voice, in a low voice, and any other fun way you can think of, or
say in rhythm while marching or clapping. |
