Heaven is God's
dwelling place. (Luke
7:49,50; Isaiah 66:1,2)
Heaven
is eternal and cannot
be shaken. (Hebrews 12:26-28)
Heaven
is where believers will live with God for eternity. "Now
we know that if the earthly tent (our bodies) we live in is
destroyed, we have a building from God, and eternal house in heaven,
not built by human hands."
(II Corinthians 5:1)
"For
the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command,
with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God,
and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still
alive and are left will be caught together with them in the clouds
to meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with the Lord
forever."
(I Thessalonians 4:16,17)
Heaven
is a joyful place.
"Then I heard what sounded like a
great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals
of thunder, shouting: Hallelujah! For our Lord God almighty
reigns."
(Revelation 19:6)
Heaven
is the place of victory.
"When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable,
and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written
will come true: 'Death has been swallowed up in victory."
(I Corinthians 15:54)
Heaven
is a place of glory.
"But
our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from
there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who by the power that enables him to
bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies
so they will be like his glorious body."
(Philippians 3:20,21)
"For
God so love the world that he gave his one and only son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life."
(John 3:16)
