Peter- the rock?

Peter- petros...a rock that can be easily moved

The Rock- petra...a massive, unmoveable rock ledge

Peter was honored by Jesus to preach the first sermon, but he was only one of the 12 apostles.

Peter was one of the first elders in the Jerusalem church, but was never referred to as the head elder.

Peter died because of his service to God.
