A You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them...@Exodus 20:4,5
ADo not make idols or set up an
image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a
carved stone in your land to bow down
before it. I am the Lord your God.@
ADear children, keep yourselves
from idols.@
AAlthough they claimed to be
wise, they became fools and exchanged the
glory of the immortal God for images made to look
like mortal man and birds and animals and
reptiles.@
ASo then, about eating food
sacrificed to idols; We know that an idol is
nothing at all in the world and that there
is no God but one.@ |
