John mark left the team in Acts 13:13.

Barnabas was the encourager and wanted to take John Mark on another trip.

Paul was the aggressive doer that thought John Mark had not proven himself.

Barnabas took John Mark and traveled west.

Paul took Silas, and traveled east.
