Actual text of Acts 24:1-21
On Trial Before Felix
Felix knew about The Way!

c

Ananias (the Jewish high priest), some of the Jewish elders and a lawyer name Tertullus came from Jerusalem to Caesarea to present the case against Paul.

The Case:

1. He is troublesome, stirring up riots among Jews all over the world.
2. He is the ringleader of the Nazarene sect.
3. He tried to desecrate the Temple.
Paul's Defense:
1. Twelve days ago I went to the temple to worship. My accusers did not find me arguing or stirring up trouble.
2. They cannot prove any of the charges against me.
3. After being away for several years, I brought gifts for the poor.
4. I was ceremonial clean when entering the temple court to distribute the gifts.
5. The Jews from Asia should be here to bring any charges they have against me.
6. The Jews here should bring out the charges they had against me when I stood before the Sanhedrin.

"Then Felix, who was well acquainted with the Way, adjourned the proceedings. "When Lysias the commander comes," he said, "I will decide your case."
(Acts 24:22)
Felix ordered Paul to be guarded, but have some freedom. He allowed friends to visit. Paul was in prison for 2 years.
