For the first two days water covered the earth. On the third day God made the water come together and called it seas. The ground appeared and He called it land.

Then God filled the new land with all kinds of plants. Again we are reminded that God is all-powerful. The sun is very important to the survival of plants, but God made the plants the day before He made the sun.
