Lesson 12: Stand Protected!
Read Ephesians 6:10-19.

"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle (wrestling) is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (vs.11)

Helmet of Salvation
I have been granted salvation and wear the helmet that protects my hope of salvation.
Breastplate of Righteousness
This is a defensive part of our battle equipment. It protects my spiritual heart shown in my righteousness in Christ.
Belt of Truth
The truth about all that has been studied in this book...my moral standards, enemies and God's purpose in and for the church.
Feet Fitted with the Gospel of Peace
I have on my combat boots...ready for battle. The battle is for the peace that goes beyond understanding!
Shield of Faith
This is a defensive part of battle equipment, able to successfully defend against the powerful weapons of my enemies.
Be Strong in His Mighty Power...equipped Well!
The first four parts of the armor (equipment) of God are for protection.
I have three kinds of offensive battle equipment.

The Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God!
"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
(Hebrews 4:12)
Prayer
The second part of my offensive battle equipment is asking for power and protection from God.

Alertness
The third part of my offensive equipment is a sense of constant awareness.
