A close friend is sick!

Lazarus, Mary and Martha (Luke 10)

"So the sisters sent word to Jesus,
'Lord, the one you love is sick.'"

"When he heard this, Jesus said,
'This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God's glory so that God's Son may be glorified through it.'"

Jesus loved Mary and Martha. Bethany was less than 2 miles away, but
he did not leave for 2 days. He knew Lazarus would die.

Remember:
Not long before this, the Jews had tried to stone Jesus. The disciples were concerned.
