Foot-Washing!
A common courtesy in the time of Jesus.

Historically this is the work of a slave.
After a day of walking on dusty roads it was common for a guest to offer a refreshing foot wash.
It was done in Old Testament history.
(II Samuel 11:8
)
It is listed in a list of good things.
(I Timothy 5:10)
Jesus used a lack of foot-washing.

"Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair."
(Luke 7:44) This is not Mary.

"I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him."
(John 13:15,16)
