"Finally Pilate handed him over to them
to be crucified."

John uses only 14 verses on the crucifixion!
John 19:16-30

Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha).
John is the only gospel writer who does not include the story of Simon, the Cyrene,
carrying the cross of Jesus. Calvary is the English word for Golgotha.

Here they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle.
John tells us nothing about the conversation with the thief on the cross.
This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah 53:12.

Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read: Jesus, of Nazareth,
The King of the Jews.
The notice was written in Latin, Greek and Aramaic. Hebrew was not included!
The Jews protested, Pilate refused to change the notice.

When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one
for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom.
This fulfilled the Psalms 28:19 prophesy.

When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said
to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son", and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
