The Levite's Concubine |
|
A Levite took a concubine in Ephraim, but she was unfaithful to him and went back home. It could have been the Levite priest. |

He went to get her! |
|
After staying for several days, he took her
and started back home. He stopped in Gibeah to rest. An old man let him stay for the night. Wicked men surrounded the house and demanded the Levite come out. They were given the concubine. The next morning she was found on the doorstep dead. |
|
The levite took her body home. He cut her body into 12 parts and sent a part to the 12 tribes. |

"Everyone
who saw it said, 'Such a thing has never been seen or done, not since the
day the Israelites came up out of Egypt. Think about it! Consider it! Tell
us what to do!'" |
