Samson Marries a Philistine

The Philistines hated Samson, but he was too strong for them! So...
"The rulers of the Philistines went to her (Delilah) and said, 'See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels of silver.'"
(Eleven hundred shekels of silver was about 28 pounds.)

"Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, for they will turn your sons away from following me to serve other gods, and the Lord's anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you."
(Deuteronomy 7:3,4)

"His parents did not know that this was from the Lord, who was seeking an occasion to confront the Philistines; for at that time they were ruling over Israel."
(Judge 14:4)
