God Speaks...and He is not happy!
Purpose:
"For everything
that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through
endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."
(Romans 15:4)
Major Concept:
Review covenant of
Blessing and
Cursing. (Deut. 28) God has not changed!
Sub-concepts:
1. I am your king!
Why have you disobeyed me?
"...who knew neither
the Lord nor what he had done for Israel."
(Judges 2:10)

2. I Must keep my word!
"They
forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of
Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them.
They provoked the Lord to anger because they forsook him and served
Baal and the Ashtoreths."

Lessons:
1. God is more patient
than we can imagine.
2. God keeps His promises!
"Now therefore I tell you that I will not drive them out before you; they will be thorns
in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you."
(Judges 2:3)
Application
God expects the same loyalty and
obedience from His people today...and He blesses the obedient!
