1. God provides help through ordinary persons in extraordinary ways.
2. God provided encouragement to the chosen.

Lessons:

1. Memory is unreliable!
In just over 148 years Israel left God, was punished, and cried out to God 3 times. Some of the Canaanites were allowed to test Israel to see if they would obey God.
(Judges 3:4)
2. God is faithful!
Refer to 3 judges.

Application

Biblical ignorance is dangerous in any time and culture!
Why were the Bereans more noble? (Acts 17:11)
"...my people are desroyed from lack of knowledge."
