New definition of crabby

A handsome crab is enjoying a fine meal of whatever crabs eat. But a strange thing is happening. Our crab friend is enjoying a great meal, and does not realize he is being eaten by another crab. It is said crabs are so insensitive to pain that they can literally eat a meal and be a meal at the same time.

People can be a lot like our friend the crab. Sometimes we can be eaten alive and not even know it. Or, we are so numbed to pain that we do not care. When we allow ourselves to be eaten alive by worry, frustration, or difficult circumstances, we have forgotten that circumstances do not change the fact that life is for living...not for fretting.

A crabby critter
   I will not be,
because God made
   much more for me.

Chomps will come
   at times too fast.
My hurt still stings
   but will not last.

For I’m aware
   of worry’s way
and frustration will
   not have his way.

The choice is mine
   to be aware,
and find a way
   to show I care.

And as I care
   from chomps I see
that circumstances
   don’t make me.

I will not munch
   along my way,
or let the chomps
   ruin my day.
