Jesus is on his way to Jerusalem to die. He is telling the people that there is no other way to God. One is either:
For or Against Jesus!
Many people believe in, and work for, Jesus. But:
"Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in our name drive out demons and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers."
(Matthew 7:22,23)

God hates lukewarmness!
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm- neither hot nor cold- I am about to spit you our of my mouth."
(Revelation 3:15-16)
