those who can only kill your body.

"But I will show you whom you shall fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.
(v. 5)

Who are we to fear?

We fear God because he is the judge.

We love God because he is a merciful judge.

"Because of the Lord's great compassion, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail."
(Lamentations 3:22)

"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions- it is by grace you have been saved.
(Ephesians 2:4)

God knows us!
