Rich man: Have pity on me! |

Abraham:
You had your chance. Once a person is in heaven or hell, there is no way to cross over. |

| Rich man: Send Lazarus to my family. | |
| Abraham: Your family needs to listen to Moses and the prophets. | |
| Rich man: They will listen to someone who has come back from the dead. | |
| Abraham: If your family does not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not listen to someone who comes back from the grave. | |
