Leprosy

Leprosy is a very bad disease. In Biblical times there was no medical cure for leprosy.
Modern medical science has discovered a cure.

The Symptoms
Leprosy is a progressive disease that starts with crusty spots, lumps, scabs and white, shining spots that look like they are deeper than the skin. Hair turns white in the infected area and the skin becomes raw.
Leprosy causes nerve damage especially near the surface of the face, arms and legs. The nerve damage causes loss of feeling in the skin. These lepers do not feel pain and do not know when they are injured. Severe nerve damage can cause paralysis.
Leprosy was considered a social disease because lepers were isolated from other people.
