Jerusalem-The last week!

Actual Bible text- Luke 20:41-44
"How is it that they say the Christ is the son of (king) David?"
"David calls him Lord. How then can He be his son?"
There is no answer given in this text.
We do know that king David was one of the most important persons in the Jewish religion. Jews liked to be able to show they were related to king David. So Jesus being related to David was important.
Maybe Jesus was pointing out that being related to Him as a physical family member is not as important as having a relationship with Him as the Son of God.
