Passover Exodus 12:1-13 (The last plague in
Egypt)
The death angel passed over Egypt. If a house did not have blood on its door
frame, all the firstborn of that house died.
Passover was
an annual celebration of the Old Testament nation of Israel. (Exodus 12:17-28)
How does this apply to Jesus?
"For
Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed." (I Corinthian 5:7)
"He was
oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her
shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
(Isaiah 3:7)
