Pilate was weak! He knew Jesus was not guilty. He was afraid of the Jews. He was afraid of what the Romans would think. |

basis for a charge against Jesus.

He tried to get Herod to solve
the problem.

He offered to punish Jesus and
let him go.
Luke 23:13-16 |

He offered to release Jesus or
Barabbas, a murderer.
Luke 23:18-25 |

He tried to wash his hands of
it all. Matthew 27:34 |

Finally, he had Jesus beaten...and turned him over to be crucified. Matthew 27:26 |
