Photosynthesis is a remarkable process that converts light into energy. This process is done through the green leaves of plants. The leaves have different kinds of cells that have different functions.
The chloroplasts of the green cells in plants go to work when it gets light. They absorb the light which causes a chemical reaction.
Water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen. Through photosynthesis water molecules are split and the oxygen is sent on its way through the leaves. Through a complicated process the hydrogen that came from the water is turned into sugar.
